I thought i was very good at pes4 and unbeatable until i started playing my mates!!!
Dont get me wrong, i still have a good win ratio but i am really struggling to find the right formation set up to play human beans. Anyone out there got a winning formula or team they would like to suggest. i usually play with inter milan and use the 3-5-3A formation. Ha ha(sorry thats 3-4-3A) And the beans are good!! AND one more thing i have in the box fright!!! my mates say i cant score in the box, all my shots are from distance, its cool when they go in though.

3-5-3A hey? ;)

I'd suggest anything that starts with 4-2-X-X
So a 4-2-3-1, 4-2-1-3 or something similar.

I was the same till I started using 4-1-3-2 very balanced I think. You really need a DM to cut out all the passes. I used to really struggle when I played my mates with 3 at the back, they were killing me down the wings.

3-5-3?

Maybe with the extra man on the pitch your team have trouble knowing what to do.

Hold on, I've just noticed this.

Go 4-2-1-3 with mass wide wingers as part of the front 3. Just take a look at Betis, it's their default.

I always try to play with the default formations unless its obvious to me that the team dont use that particular formation in real life. I play for realism rather than to win every single game though

The best ever is to start with 4-4-2 and keep it until you are leading and comfortable, if you are winning take off and attacker and bring on an other midfielder for a 4-5-1. If you are losing and need a goal change things and put it on 4-3-3.

I have 2 favourite formations that I mentioned because you cant just stick to one for a whole game in soccer.

I used to be lazy and didnt change anything, but you have to change formation while play in order to have results.

I like 3-5-2 (with two DMs). I set the CBs to come out wide and the DMs to drop back, so there's no problem out wide and I've always got three men (at least) in my own box. Still have 5 forward players as well.

Not a bad formation.

I just use default formations.. more of a challenge. Arsenal work the best for me though. Henry makes great runs. A through lob from your own half and he's away!

i find real madrid's formation to be perfect, just be careful with the left side on defense since roberto carlos(his position) can be a luzy bum coming back to defend, but thats what your DM is there for. trust me, it works. or you can always use the 4-4-2 (where the midfield makes a diamond), thats the most basic and seems to work fine.
