Agree with full analogue player movement. totally essential. Also more realistic dribbling ability, being able to move and transfer balance easily independently of sprinting and with also with sprinting. Similar with tackling, and interception of opposing players paths. If you dont control the player in time you can be left behind, it should be so tough that you can be punished for with a chase back option in menu perhaps..i prefer it tough. The player should could chase down if you are late taking control as a player would(that is if you wish them to-the option would be nice). Offsides...say no more pes3 was shocking offside is offside mistakes are a welcome addition being offside when youre not beyond the back four because a striker is even though hes not interfering with play is infuriating because it spoils the game. Keepers, sounds like they dont move enough sometimes in PES4 rooted to the spot i hope its not overdone like handball i doubt it...its so simple..they save what they can, they miss what they cant but they dont stand still unless they are wrongfooted..tough physics but possible.
Also total analogue passing...the direction you hold the stick and length of time you hold the button down dictates the direction and power of the pass...end of story no aid ..no ooh lets pass it the nearest player for you because your a moron and incapable of making that decision or that pass...this would provide a more complete reflection of the game be more realistic and after a time would improve the game bcos you would become a better judge of power, direction and distance with both ground and air balls. No through balls do it your bloody self...get the pass right ...thats how it is in the real game. And for lofted balls a system so using right analogue dictates direction and height of pass (the further pushed the lower the trajectory for example) this would reflect the game if you are under pressure you wouldn't have the time to do it effectively all the time it would be down to judgement. Spin ..ie pull back on release to chip with reverse spin golf style..i didnt see evidence of this in the last game at least it wasnt easy (was i shit trust me i wasnt) combine this with a button or a trigger perhaps for power (just with the analogue pass situation I mean ie press a button before using analogue long pass sounds complicated but are dextrous creatures and look what we do as second nature now on pes3 but analogue just a little awkward as it is.anyway there must a better way than push the analgue button in-its awkward its constricting its shite-i pulled off some beauties (wey hey) but its too finickety to be consistent and truly comfortable. Timing, timing, timing. the three t's. (god bless ya peter cook - see clive andreson re-runs)
Anyways what a rant. Given up fags so needed something to blabber about. What do you think? does it make sense to you?. Also better commentry, direct crowd samples for each ground (obvious really but i know, big on memory) and just more inteligence , better tackling and not getting around people by going right left. genuine wrong footing, swaying without stepping you could do this by holding down a button whilst stationary to sway, fake and then move. the same with with fake runs..press a button do a fake run or double tap sprint, use triangle because youre not using it for a bloody through pass because youre doing it by skill alone with the X button. YES OH YES.
Crossing, all timing, the angle of run and whether the ball is travelling towards you(which should of course be more flexible) and the speed of the player combined with timing should be the determing factors and not the length of time you hold the button down, this should relate more to passes made when ball and/or player are stationary where you need to get more body mass moving through the ball. What about either the timing of the cross button or better still (because it would give you more controland accuracy) the speed with which you direct the analogue stick (remember that paragraph on analogue passing) and of course the extent to which you push it ie as far as it goes or just a little to reflect the leg swing speed for example a little dink is a fast slight push a chip is a slower farther push i know its already like this but combine that with timing and it would god (good!) My god does this idoit ever shut up i hear you say...sorry yes i will. Your feedback would be appreciated..please be gentle!
