Importing Images With Eyetoy possible exploit

K..so i understand that we can not load images to kits directly from the PS3 HDD...

ive recently borrowed a friend of mines eyetoy, and taking pictures of kits to import just isnt clear enough...

heres the deal...When i take a pic and save it 2 the hdd..the gamesave recieved thereafter are these:
-ICON0 (Image for Viewing in saved data utility)
-PARAM.PDF
-PARAM.SFO
-DATA.BIN

SO my question is..is it possible 2 edit one of the params or the data.bin to upload our own images becuase then we would be able to technically upload WHOLE kit fronts..im currently working on getting around this...but still no luck... =/

does anyone have any usefull knoledge?

djminimaxx, you will be a genius in my book if you can figure this out. i've been working on this same solution for 4 days now and nothing to come of it. we need a software that encodes the image and acompanies the image with data and param files so the ps3 will read it like it's an eye-create file. keep me informed of any progress you make with this. cause we could make some seriously great looking kits if we get this.

The thing is guys you will only be able to make a SMALL number of kits... Konami's half arsed attempt at giving you what could have been a great editor!

I still have faith in Konami. Wait until the next PS3 instalment when they'll have had much longer to tweak the editor for this relatively new console.

after this installment..im starting to loose faith in koonami..the game is always great of coarse..but they took away 2 many prescious features..and the edit mode like u said above could have so much potential if we could just load images from our hardrive..


and yea im working on it..its gunna take some time..but im hoping i can get passed thiss..

I hope you managed to figure something out. It really is annoying knowing that we have the worst version to edit for a game that requires an entirely new OF due to crappy licenses

yea... :/ theres so much potential there...i dont mind editing..i used 2 love it on ps2 versions..but the editing abilities are so small its annoying

Hmm... I was thinking the same thing just now! Im working on making an Op. File for the PS3 version and wanted Boca Juniors scanned in. I dont have an eye toy but thought maybe i can mess with teh PNG file and label it the same as the corresponding file, but in reality it is something else!
