I have never patched a PES game in my life, so I'm a bit of a thicko at this, but I have a few questions (apologies if asked, I sorted skimmed through the thread, but seens as I dont have a clue about half the stuff your talking about, I didnt really understand).

1. I take it you need X-Port for this?

2. You listed the equipment that you need... Can you get all that off the net, or do you have to buy some of it?

3. Can you do this for PES3, and not just WE? Because I thought you could only do basic things with PES games, and that WE was much easier to edit/patch.

1. X-Port has nothing to do with patching, we have a lot of X-Port threads here
2. You don´t have to buy anything except a computer (which you obviously have), a cd-writer and blank CDRs
3. You can do this for PES3 as well.

And another thing, I'm new to this, and I dont want to cock up my game.... How does it work? Does it load into the option file, or the game itself? Because if I do it wrong and I make a giant cock up of it, I'm not bothered about losing the option file, like.

Importing kits neither affect your option file nor your original game, you just make an image of the original game, import the kits and burn this image with the imported kits to a blank CDr. You need a chipped PS2 for that, check the "different methods to play WE7" thread.

Hi all, I have a problem with AFS Explorer while trying to import kits in the filedata.afs. I followed Larsson instructions (great guide!) and I reduced the size of a lot of .pa and .pb over 100.000 to 96-98.000 so I could leave the space for my own modified kits.
After doing this, I've seen that in the files with reduced size I can't see the Graphic Preview in the filedata.afs so... is it a problem? How can I fix it? Should I re-insert the original files or can I continue without considering this? And if you had this problem, how did you find a solution?

Thanx and good editing to all ;)

I don´t think the graphic preview is important. I would say the kits will work in the game and it doesn´t matter that the graphic preview doesn´t work. You could try it with the alternative method, perhaps the graphic preview will work then.
btw Today the first patch with licensed kits (WE7) was released, a patch for PES3 will come in the next days, so I think there is no need to import the kits manually. ;)

unstickied :)
Don´t think we need this as a sticky anymore since the first patches with original kits for WE7 and PES3 are released

I don't know why whenever I import a bmp or png image to make a .bin file using the WEPictureDecoder, the .bin is always a little bit wrong.the shorts are always messed up...

for example, when i import a bmp file for spain's home kit, the inner sides of the shorts become yellow in colour in the game while the outer sides are still in right color. (that part of the bmp is dark blue in color)

Can anybody help me?

jonboyo said in his latest patching instructions:-

5) Once that’s done import the sles file included with cdmage as before right click on original sles listed and import the one in patch ...which ensures collars etc in the kits are not messed up.

Not sure if this helps at all?

I have tried a different method to insert offical kits, downloaded the extracted kits from weleaders, they are already in bin format, I have then extracted e-data file from my PES3 bin and I have then imported the pl150uni folder into the data e asf file, using asf extractor, so the result is an E data file with updated kits, then i imported the file into the pes.bin. WHen i burned this .cue file the game only starts with playstation 2 but it fails to start. Have someone tried this method of importing, if so what am i doing wrong?!
