It ruins the game for me... of the games ive played i've only deserved to loose 3 or 4 games, and those 3 or 4 games that I have lost have been against players who have actually played football, and not just ran up the pitch with one player.
Then you get the players who have no sportsmanship, was 2-0 up in one game, and some how my opponent managed to get back to 2-2, then eventually 2-3, and all he did was press the "hahahaha" comment all the time!!!
Other than that I enjoy the online, even if it does have the annoying lag at crucial parts of the game!!!

I used to do this in pes6 with C.Ronaldo but i stopped because i noticed that it cost me the games and now i use full team and i get alot better score and alot of assists
Once you work out what they are doing its easy enough to stop them.... had a game a few hours ago, and suprise suprise got another one trick pony, but had him figured out and eventually won 3-0

i came accros a player yesterday who jus didnt want to attack and it started pissing me off. dnt know if he was a new player to the game or something but he/she mustve known that to win a game, u need to score goals, all s/he kept doing was passing it around his back for and back to his keeper. p*ssed me off so much!

if only fatigue was the same as in game, maybe they could only use that tactic for 60 mins at most

In college I quickly found out nobody has even heard about PES, or WE until I found a guy from asia who had the game as I walked by his door and heard the unforgettable commentary. I stood by his door looking at him play and then he invited me in to play with him. Since he had WE9 he used the tactic of going down the sideline and the passing it through the ground to an open player and score. I still managed to tie with him 3 - 3, later on I started bringing my PES 2007 where doing that was more difficult. Scores from there on where 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 4-2 etc. all in my favor. Even though he sometimes still did manage to score in the most lamest way, it was satisfying that the use of real football prevailed over his bs.
150 games online and i was never played with Barca ...when people choose Barca i choose Argentina and BANG BANG , punishment is here!!!!
Played my first online games today, even after hearing bout the lag thought i should still try. In truth the lag was not that bad but sometimes really baddd. And why the hell does everyone use Barca or Inter??? first game was, a friendly, Barca vs Milan(me), i won 6-1, he scored first though. second game was, my first ranking match, soo tight Inter vs Milan(me), 3-2 to him but he played a proper game so its all good but my third game was soo annoying the guy just passed it to Ronaldinho and ran.....again and again and again but it wasnt working and i was winning 6-0 with 30 mins still to go when the guy decided to disconnect lol

I have picked milan in every single game I play, and I have found the ultimate formation and tactic that isnt too tight or too wide down the wing that the older players who are not as fast dont benefit. It took me 3 months to find the tactic now people that drew with me 1-1 now lose 5-0.
There are formations you can use that are best for you. find them!.
Mine is 4 at the back, 2 defending midfielders, emerson and pirlo, then 2 attacking midfielders kaka and seedorf and 2 strikers gilardino and ronaldo. sweet formation and I score a lot and dont concede half as much. blocks long rangle efforts with pirlo and emerson and also provides good counter attack with pirlo or emerson feeding kaka and seedorf to slot thru gila and ronnie.
I actually hate players more that pick inter milan. because inter has adriano who was a previous poster boy of PES6 and he still has the same freakin stats as the last game enabling him to shoot from anywhere no matter how the shoot button is pressed and be top corner shots.
In real life adriano is shit now because after the 2006 world cup he and ronaldinho got smashed had a massive party and it seems they both still ahvent recovered...

totally annoying when players always chose barca cus they aint good enough 2 play wiv an averege team. then they just pass it 2 ronaldinho or messi and run......crap! I just choose barca aswell see how they like it
There are people that have been playing with Barca since the 1st PES came out, even when Barca relegates to 2nd div. I'll still play with Barca.(Just like my brother who still plays with Juventus)
Concerning the lack of build up play is easy to prevent when you play 20min (or 15, I prefer 20) games, when you play 5 or 10 min games it's normal people don't build up, there's simply not enough time, and you'll get one cheesy game after another.

it really boils my piss when players just pass to one player n run at you. its pretty hard for me to do anything because im newcastle n there defenders arnt exactly amazing lol. i play a 442 formation with a pretty deep back 4 and a defensive midfielder sittin just infront. then i have 2 wingers usually duff n smith or owen for smith because i like to play a fast passing game and to get it to the bi line. i play martins alongside viduka usually or if im getting beat i switch it abit and play owen alongside martins to use a through ball with pace. i love it when the opposition plays proper football it feels great even if ive been beaten knowing that the game was played how its played in real life.
as for the players who are one men team...it must mean they are inferior to us proper players lol.
one more thing. ive mocked my opposition before but only when i thought it was justifiable...say the goal i scored was a joke etc
