i currently have just pro evo 2 for the ps2 so i wanna know if its worth getting a chipped ps2 to play winning eleven? or shud i just stick to the pro evo series?

ive been told mixed things by people...and to be honest am lazy so i cant be bothered reading every thread here id just like a basic yes or no...am more bothered about the gameplay than anything else not graphics and sound and stuff...

Well bro, many people can't wait for PES3 to come out, so what they do they get WE7 instead. PES3 will be the same as gameplay is concerned, there will be small differences but not biggie..so if you wanna stick to PES series wait until November, otherwise modify your PS2 and order WE7

If you really want to get the latest stuff then it is advisable to invest. PES3 sounds great but upon its release, you may miss out on more updates which is only available on WE7 F/E a prelude to WE8. This is what I have observed. I always thought that WE F/E
and PES is the same, how wrong I was. But PES3 will certainly have more features than WE7 since it is released later.

If you are patient then wait for PES3. But WE8 will proably again come out before PES4 so you'll have to put up with discussions about the game much earlier than the PES release.

WE games are much easier to patch so that you get to use the real kits (with logos and sponsors) for clubs and better ad boards as well as other changes in the game such as menus and music.

It's down to the price and effort at the end of the day. If it's not too expensive for you then go for it.

There is one big plus point and that is all WE7 players will be MUCH better at PES3 so when the PES3 demo competition takes place, WE7 players will have had about 3 months to get used to the new way of playing the game as it is Very different to PES2. I reckon that a WE7 player will win the competition this year rather than someone who has been playing PES2 and just gets to practice on the demo disc.

Hopefully it'll be one of us here that wins it!

I am just going to wait for PES3. :cool:

If you are like me I don't have too much money to be getting a very similar game twice added to the fact you have to get your station chipped. It is all money. :mad:

PES2 is not a bad game to keep playing for a couple more months. :)

You can play WE7 with an orange golf ball if you want to. You can make any ball design you want soon.

I'm not saying this because I own WE7 but this guy (my friend) he's from Japan his aol S/N is Qui Jasahma 11 what he told me is WE series are always better than PES ones..they are more easy to patch, and WE7 is better than PES3. This is what he told me over the AOL.

/MSG: Qui Jasahma 11 - Winning Eleven 7 and PES3 have 85% similarities...the rest is different..so WE7 and PES3 are not the same games :)

To be honest, I am sure zygalski and co will maybe agree, PES3 and WE7 are the same. Their more like 95% alike. Commentary being the main difference along with language.

Well, that is based on what we've heard from people who know things apparently.

The real judgement will be coming from those who play both games a lot and then we'll see.
