Is Pes 09 Too Easy?

Be more specific. BAL, ML, and after how many seasons? I think it would be difficult to say either mode is too easy in the first 1-2 seasons with the weaker side or player. After a number of seaons though, if you stack your team, then I think they game always gets too easy.

It does get too easy once you've purchased every single quality player on the game on ML of course.

Which is why I think its silly when people are complaining about not being able to prize away Ronaldo or Messi or anyone else of that calibur. Only possible reason they dont want to give you those players is because they would'nt benifit as much as you would if you took Ronaldo, Messi etc.

Well yeah, getting too used to a level can be laughable sometimes. Which is why playing against real people is more of a challenge because there are different playing methods rather than the CPU's method of wide play.

Playing other people to become better would be a possibility if its online play wasn't so pathetic..

Again, though, I could ask what team you're using for these cups and Champions League games. I would be interested to know, but it also depends on how you play the game i.e. are you deliberately trying to cheat the helpless AI with moves you know are effective, or are you trying to win with some style? Or... Are you just bragging? Also, what do you consider too easy> scores like 5-0, or consistently winning 1-0, 2-1... be specific so we can discuss the question. It's tough to respond to a thread where the poster leaves you guessing so much as to what the point of the post is.

its too easy specially master league, master league is only challenging when you r creating your own team and you r trying to get in the othe division but when you start to get decent players it gets boring and easy the all po evo game feels like its there to keep you happy making things too easy they should try and make the game a bit more challenging even on top player things seem too easy

I bought new players in my masterleague but still have mostly the default defense. Been beaten the last three games in a row. Turned it off in frustration. Masterleague is not easy i don't think

Yes, in ML becomes really easy.

What I do is to make some special "rules". For example:

I started some weeks ago a new ML but this time without development.
I chose a not very known team (Brøndby) and that is not very strong.

My rules for ML:
- since it's a Danish team, I have to play with maximum 5 foreigners on the field (I will have then always the majority of Danish players);
- the salary for each player cannot be higher than 1000;
- during the transfers, if one of my players receives an offer from a higher ranked club and for better salary, I HAVE TO RELEASE HIM.

That's it.

So far, I am enjoying playing with Brøndby and the challenge has been constant.

It can be difficult due to scripting issues. Usually after 2 seasons i get up to Top Player and master it and then the 8-0's start to flow. If it wasnt for my ambition of scoring the best goal ever in a football game then i'd probably win about 15-0 every game.

The champions league is a harder mode than ML and konami cups. For some reason the opponent always plays better in champions league.

Masters League always becomes too easy eventually if you buy all the best players. However, if you try and play Champions League on top player with someone like Spurs I think this years game is really hard!

Your master league rules sound really interesting, might give it a go with my Bologna team. You sound like a geniune PES player and not the usual twit you find skulking around. Cheers.

Cheers, l0git3c and Pancho07.

Actually the ML became really more exciting with that. I strongly recommend you to try it!

I'm sure some people will prefer to play ML with such rules.

But personally, I find it extremely boring.. too much Limitations with crappy players and teams.

I cannot even play the style of Football I like to play. It's too one-dimensional for my liking, it isn't a challenge, you just have even more unrealistic limitations. As if we didn't have enough of them already.

For one thing, the COM decides how the Passing works. With crappy players, I find too many Bad-Passes that really have nothing to do with me. Because I cannot measure the Pace on the Pass. Sometimes it goes how I want it to, but other times the COM decides to make ridiculous passes.

And the same goes with Goal-Scoring, too assisted by the COM.

If PES09 wasn't that Assisted by the COM... such rules would be interesting. But that isn't the case, PES09 is excessively assisted by the COM, with crappier teams you have even more limitations. Which for me is boring, not an interesting challenge.

Well if you're that annoyed at how the comp controls your passes, why not do them manually with the analogue stick?

See how well you fare then :tongue:
