Is PS2 online really bad?

Is it that bad? What is actually meant by the servers are really bad and nuthin compared to XBL. Im still falsely hoping that PES4 comes online to ps2 aswell. Is ps2 online's reputation ruined by all those dial up peeps.

well I'm guessing that Microsoft have the upper hand with Xbox live, they are quite good at making computers and stuff and they know how to make it work gooood, hopefully Sony will steal their ideas cos thats what PS2 is lacking.

I think PES4 will not be on PS2 network play because something like FIFA have got it and they have made sure PES4 dosent get it so they can promote it as their best feature. As soon as PES4 gets Online play FIFA will become more of a pish game than it currently is.

wat exactly are servers and wats wrong with Sony's. if there's too many dial-uppers get rid of them. They probably know that the game game with have lots of lag. I've done online play with 56k modem myself. fifa 2002 pc i scored within ten seconds and then it crashed. The other guy had a 56k modem as well.
