the left trick stick in previous PES games has been moved to the left stick. you can check out the command list but here are some: roulette- 360 on the left stick, flip flap- 45 degrees to the strong foot side and then to the other side, opposite flip flap- the same but opposite directions, flick the ball up- left stick to the back of your player and then quicly to his front. there are more trick that arent done with the analogue sticks.

I have both PES and Fifa, and on Fifa there is the trickstick, but all i can do on PES is stepovers.

There's barely any tricks in PES09. The most effective one IMO is the one where you tap the "Shooting" button and then Tap the (x) button in quick succession.

There's another one by holding both R1 and L1 that proves effective in some situations.

And the step-overs you mentioned.

there are more tricks in pes2009 you just have to know how to do them, some new ones are like the tevez roulette and the reverse flip flap i recommend you use the directional buttons to do the tricks as its more precise and effective,

I use them from time to time, but I just find them very uncomfortable, very arcade-like, they aren't intuitive nor realistic enough for my taste.

I just mentioned the ones that IMO are the most effective and intuitive.

I really like how some tricks are arranged to the Left Stick.. but the "Roulette" and "Flicking the Ball Up" should be done via the Right Stick, like before.

there are two options in the right trick stick, what is more comfortable for you:

1. making the right trick stick work by your position- i mean like when you are running diagonaly to the right (facing the goal) you could do flick the ball upby pushing the stick in the coordinated position- left and right.

2. making the right stick as a different object- if you are at the same position as above you could do the trick by pushing the stich down and up.

this isnt very understanable so ill try to put this in other words- the direction stick doesnt effect the trick stick (the tricks are fixed and it doesnt matter what direction your facing.

i hpe i didnt wright too much nonsense...
