ISS vs PES come on Konami, KCET, KCEO etc.

Ok so I've pretty much been playing PES2 for the past year nearly, no suprise as it is THE best game available on the PS2.

However I dusted off my copy of ISS2 just recently and played that for a change.
I was blown away. I've forgotten just how good this game is in terms of atmosphere, sound etc.
Compared to Pro Evo, ISS2 is the daddy for commentary, fans chants/reaction to the game and the opening sequence is THE best on any game.
My point is why oh why oh why cant these two games become one. Can you imagine the awesome gameplay of PES merged with the sound/atmosphere of ISS?
If its still the same old KCET and KCEO being seperate blah blah, then why cant the makers of pro evo see how awesome ISS sound/atmosphere is and copy it?
Ok in terms of gameplay ISS is arcadey and pro evo will always be the best but every now and then its refreshing to play as its nothing at all like fifcack thank god.

Perfect footy = ProEvo gameplay + ISS atmosphere/sound!

Ps. The reason I've not mentioned ISS3 is because I played it briefly and found it to be not much different to ISS2.

I agree with you.Iss 3 comentary is even better.The way he says events as they happen.And when a player shoots he screams out the name of the player.Maybe its that you cant have your cake and then eat it.What i know is that if The konami groups worked together they could make a game that what was truly a signal post in home entertainment.One team dose the sound the other the gameplay.and they could both do the visuals.

These thoughts come from somwhere and they must go somwhere also.Lets hope they find there way to the minds of our far eastern friends.

The national anthems were a nice touch and I like the free kick/corner system in ISS2.
A much underrated game. And I got it for a fiver out of MVC.

Yeah like why on earth is their not a visible ref in pes3 their is in iss3!!!!

I think konami are worried by how often the ball will hit the ref

I haven't played ISS2 or 3. Does the ball atually hit the ref?

i don't think as much because 1ss3 doesen't have the ball physics of pes

I think the two teams do kind of collaborate. There tunnel scenes that I understand are in PES3/WE7 are lifted from ISS3 and you will also find an ISS shop where you can buy kits, players and additional tiers to your stadium - not to mention what type of grass you want - disappointingly no Morrocan Black though!

You guys are right - the commentary is far better than any of the PES games and the atmosphere is far better. Some lovely touches too like the announcer broadcasting the name of the scorer after the event (obviously not before). You can get some well good swerve on the shots and there are bundles of skill tricks.

However, ISS3 has serious flaws in the gameplay - the passing can be total crapola and the tackling drives you to distraction. Every foul is a yellow card. The long ball feels like FIFA on acid - making you look like a Sunday park player. And don't even talk about the through ball!

I think you guys are right 'though. A real PES/ISS combo could be a stunner.

There is a way of tackling .I think it is a shoulder barge.This stops the ref waving yellow cards around.Did anyone see what R,carlos did to beckham last season in the chapions leauge.You can do that move on iss3.If you think back these programmers spawnd pes.But it still dosent explain why they cant be a happy family.Because if they could we would

For Simulation I look to PES and for a bit of fun now and then its ISS. Fifa ""football"" dosent even come into it (scripted meatheads!!).
