1. Shyne actually recorded only one song on Godfather from prison (the 50 cent diss). It was known to everyone that all the rest of the songs on the record were recorded during and before his trial.
2. a record label can do everything for you except make ur songs. His tracks are getting crazy play time in NYC, DC, so its not fair to say the only reason he signed and his records are selling is cuz hes in jail. Thats just stupid.


but on a personal note ... Gunplay, ive been feeling shyne since 2000... LOOK! i joined this site in March 2003 and i mae my username SHYNE09 (09 is for 2009 when he gets out).. So how can you say that i only just started listening to him since the recent hype (which blossomed in June 2004).

Fair enough, so his songs were unpolished and made in a rush before his incarceration.

No it isn't stupid. It's fact. Why would a record label sign a rapper who's in prison ? He would be of no use to them. He was signed because a rapper releasing an album whilst in prison will get more buzz then a bee hive. Don't even get me started on the radio.

Funny how you say your a hardcore Shyne fan. When even your name is circulated around his incarceration. Shows that you yourself were caught in the hype. If you were a real Shyne fan, you'll look at him as an Artist and not a prisoner ;) .
