Whats illegal about ea paying konami not to release their demo, I don't see anything wrong with it. Its only the same as releasing the game early to get sales, ea haven't done anything underhand, they knew even a demo of a rival game would undermine sales of fifa, so they gave Konami a cash incentive to not release the demo ? not wrong legally, but it shows ea are worried ( if the story's true.)

Giggsy11's moaning again, I think the World is conspiring to get you mate.

"Fifa is a four letter word."

I am not moaning on peoples opinions of fifa, i have heard it from everyone, i am moaning at the thread itself, we have a perfectly good fifa2005 thread in the games section, if this was a man utd thread in the football section it would also have to be closed as we already have one :)

- Every year I have to listen (and watch unfortunately) Danny Issac's (FIFA producer) BS about his new FIFA features etc... and how they have coparable gameplay to PES/WE, but it's always all crap. And final thing, if it is true that EA has payed SONY to stop the sales of PES4 DEMO in Virginmegastores than I am SPEECHLESS.

am i the only person who finds it strange that a person who writes for a magazine cant even spell paid?

i think fifa 05 has caught up to PES now
you just have to lose the attitude and give it a fair go

it actually has!

a good example is the animation system
alot of PES players are moaning and groaning over how each has to finish
but its EXACTLY the same in PES!
its just that you are all used to it and have played with it so long that you instinctivly time everything so you dont knock the ball out of grounds every 2seconds

if you all played fifa05 for more than 10s you would realise all this and thats the main problem
you should atleast play for a few hours on _any_ sporting title or your view is as biased as someone who walks out of a movie 20mins in
just before it gets good ;)

Man, I (unfortunately) had to play it for DAYS and after a week of playing and reviewing it, is more and more disappointing me. Whilst PES4 doesn't stop to amaze me day by day.

Nope, it has nothing to do with being open minded or not; it is a matter of fact.

I like how this guy summed it all up:

"Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is sports gaming heaven. Anyone who calls themselves a football fan and who has the want to play a football game, should pick this up. Pretenders to the throne come and go, and will doubtless continue to be released, but it is all about the GAME, dammit. It isn't about your licences, it isn't about who you have on the box this year, it isn't about how many times you can mention the title of the game in your instruction manual (complete with the necessary trademark symbol, of course). All it should be about, is the game, and that is why Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is so good. Buy Pro Evolution Soccer 4, love it (or learn to love it) and wonder why you ever bothered with the rest. Roll on the Xbox Live edition."

:)

is that the same review where the bloke gave it 95% for online multiplayer when he hadnt even tried it on Live! yet?

somethings just dont add up
like how people say the shots are always perfect height because god knows that never happens to me (unless of course they're talking about fifa04)

id like to see 2 good fifa players having a 20min match and 2 good pes players having a 20min match
then we could really see what one is more realistic and whos just a fanboy ;)

just in response to the dude saying you need to play Fifa for more than 10 secs, i own as i said earlier, every Fifa game released (except the world cup and euro champ updates) and whilst i am not denying for one second the game has come on leaps and bounds since the 99 version, it still can not be compared to the gameplay of Pro Evo. It does feel like it hgas been made by people who make computer games and not by football fans, which is something which Pro Evo is made by.
In 1997, i had a choice for Christmas, ISS Pro Evolution 98, or Fifa RTWC 98. I chose Fifa. After a week of playing Fifa, i was looking for a new football game, as i NEVER lost. On he hardest level, i was winnng in double figures. I ended up getting a demo of Iss Pro 98 and pkaying it for two months until i could afford the game!
Every year i have bought Fifa, for either PC or Playstation, and every year after 2 nights of playing Fifa,i go straight back to Pro Evo. I try Fifa, i am not prejudice against it. I just know my football, and the most realistic football game series is Pro Evolution.

yeah but as a stand alone football game fifa could prob be considered as 'class' its just when u compare it to pes that it gets ugly :)

for an U.S audience yes, and for a younger UK audience, again yes, the would probably say it is class. If you took fans of football with no gaming experience and asked them to play Fifa, they would be impressed by the imagery and graphics etc. but i am sure the majority would say it doesn't feel like real football, and thats without even mentioned PES4. Fifa is and i have no quarms saying this, the second best console football computer game. (you have champ manager on PC) and thats saying something with well over 50 football games available for PS2 (older versions i.e Fifa 2004 and 2003 etc.) but the gap between the first and the second is bigger thjan between 2nd and 3rd, becoz TIF is catching Fifa up.

I would agree there, although i like fifa (i am 19) ;) pes does feel more like football but i also think fifa feels nice to play, it is slowly becoming and feeling more like football and i think 2005 feels more like football than the previous versions.
