just installed PE5 - doesnt start up?!

Hi,
I just installed PE5 onto my PC and all seems well but when i start it up i get the message saying "PE5 has encountered a problem" and asking if i want to report the problem to microsoft.
I have a radeon x600 pro 256mb graphics card and an AMD athlon 64 processor 3000+(1.8ghz) and a gig of ram.
please help me!

Try unplugging all USB devices then try loading the game. I had a Belkin Speed Pad that was crashing the game before it even got as far as the Konami logo. Once I unplugged it and stuck with my mouse and gamepad, the game worked a treat.

hi,
quick update and further ask for help,
i unplugged my XBOX to USB controller from the port and PES5 works perfectly!
now i need to use the two of them together,,,,any ideas?

As far as helping you get the pad sorted with Pro Evo, I can't. I had the same problem with my Belkin Nostromo N52, it kept crashing the game. Might have to invest in a new pad, unless you can find someone who fixed the same problem.
