Ok guys ... I have been waiting for a proper PES since 2008 when I got my ps3 and pes 2008. I have always been a PES fan (Ps1 and Ps2) ...in fact u could call me a fanatic and I would defend it like it was me who made the game... after being dissapointed by pes 2008 game and hitting my head on spending 75US$ (YES thats how much new PS3 games costs in UAE) I promised myself to wait for a nice and good stable release like the good old days ! I had high hopes for this 2011 game... It looks amazing with all the new options, tweaks and extra bits u can do. So I DL the demo and played "2" games before saying Im not gonna spend 1$ for this. U might ask me why ? well here are a few things :
1. Feels like a BETA rather than a DEMO with all the glitches and errors and issues. (ref does not blow the whistle half of the time, random players shirt tucked in or out, goalkeeper catches the ball and takes it with him behind the line but no corner and so much more)
2. What is with the NO commentary policy on the demo ? isnt a demo a FINISHED GAME ?
3. Gameplay is as bad as the 2008 ,,, I did not even play 2009 or 10 except for the lame demo they provided !!!
4. when the game starts it takes a good couple of seconds for the damn camera to pick up from the ground and go to wide cam... there goes my element of surprise in an early response to a taken goal !(reminds me of the stupid penalty cam they introduced in 2008)
5. The crowd is as lame as b4 ... not even 1 polygon used and its a lame GIF animation
6. AI is as stupid as the last game I played .. take the ball to one side, lob... AI stands and adores u and doesnt give u a tackle or make it hard for u (top player mode) ...
7. Game engine feels the same to me ... I can appreciate the effort gone to the graphics and polishing the animations (especially the ball looks awesome) BUT ... I dont care about any of that ... I want an awesome gameplay rather than the same old stuff but with a new shiny face .... It feels that the guys in Konami have given up on what used to be a winning point against FIFA...
Im sorry ... I know ull hate me for this .. maybe its just my opinion... I hated it .. every bit of it ... in fact I feel like playing a game of FIFA10 just to satisfy my footy desire ... is comthis ing from a HARDCORE WE fan ... This is just what I observed in 2 games ... one I played as Barca and other as Bayern ... I lost both 1-0 in top player mode ... not too bad considering its been almost 3 yrs since I played the game.
Oh well... Mayb I set my standards too high... maybe im wrong .. I guess Ill have to check FIFA11 as well to see how it is...
Now Im going to put my flame suit on and get ready for u guys to get ur anger @ me ... BUT give me facts and correct me if I am wrong in any of the mentioned points plz ...
