Is there any off-season training to get my keeper involved with which will raise his GK stat other than playing him in friendlies?

I have often wondered this and I dont think there is....you can always improve his other stats though.

Heh, herein lies the problem. His other stats are very good considering he's only 18. But his keeper stat suck ass (just raised it to 54). His development bar is high but very gradual. I could always just sack him and buy someone better but I like to feel responsible for my players. Hum.

There are loads of players in master league, especially keepers, who have one or two stats that are fantastic so loads of people buy them before realising that they are actually rubbish. The keeper skill is really the most important important for keepers and if its too low you shouldn't buy them. You should sell that keeper and buy Lewis, he is good.

I feel asthough you're telling me off but you speak the truth and I now know what I have to do. For the record I bought the keeper just as I was promoted to the master league and he made gaff after stupid gaff. I could kill him, actually. He's outta there as of now (I was immediately demoted down to league 2). I wont buy the keeper you suggested, though becasue it feels a bit like cheating now you've pointed him out. I'll just be far more discerning this time.

Thanks,
