Keepers and Back Headers - Possible Bug?

You can always use the triangle button to make him go for the ball.
Possibly there is something wrong with the keepers in pes4. I played about 20 matches so far, and keepes to much often (than it was in pes3) do nothing. Sometimes light 25m ground shot comes in, and keeper do nothing, he is just standing and watching the ball coming into the net. Did You noticed that?

1v1 should be 90% chance for a goal and here you have like 20%
hope they fix this in the next patch....
they should have left the goalie the way he was in Pes3, maybe a bit better...but not make him worse...

They've done it like that to take the jamminess away from shit PESsers. I've always used triangle to make saves, and I haven't noticed a bug. The only error I've seen was from Rustu, he ignored the ball in from a corner and it went straight in. I didn't press triangle though as I was trying to head a way with a defender using square.

Like it's said above, the keepers are really good in this version. If you press triangle it's cool and you'll never let in a spanner goal.

i dont get it, some1 shoots from 25 meters it goes for left/right side of the goal and i have to press a triangle for the keeper to save that?
i tought that triangle was there for a keeper charge...not for a keeper to go save the ball that's goin for side from far away....he should automaticly go for the side and save especially if he can save 8 of 10 1v1, and not just look at the ball slowly goin into the goal

Peaople stop buging the game, it's great, I've never had situation that the keeper stands still with a simple shot, but he only stands still when the shoot is brilliant, hard and going to the right or left of the goal. 1on1 are so simple... I'm scoring 9 of 10 attempts, you can just lob him wich is very good in pes 4, hold R1 after the shot, almost always the ball goes in, or just go round him, [] + X, and you shoot to all left alone goal. I've played almost 100 games so far, and the only fing that bugs me is that the keepers are to little good when it comes to shooting from close range, they are jumping like monkeys, but overall the game is beeter than PES 3 and I will play it until the next version comes out. and yeah, its easy to lob a goalie or fake it, once, twice or three times....dont worry i know how to do that..
i'm just sayin that he's reacting too fast, saves impossible stuff when 1v1
and if u want to, go try to shoot from 25-30 meters on the goal and you'll see him standing...and if u aim good it will go in even tho he could have saved it...
and i never said anything against PES, PES is a great game, best soccer game i ever played....lol, i play it every day for a few hours, play online...so dont u tell me that PES is good, i know that....im just sayin stuff that's not right, and they need to be fixed..

I sure they'll fix it... In the next PES :] Every release has it weeknes ISS Pro Evo 2 - one-two PES - didnt play much so didnt notice any bugs, PES 2 - long shoots (Rivaldo, Totti etc) PES 3 - shoots to the short of the goal PES 4 - keeper reaction on 1on1 and down shoots. If I aint wrong we've played a few games herci

the worst thing about this 'bug' usually happens when the computer shoots the ball (for me)... what bothers me the most is when the computer makes such a good shot, that my keeper just stands and looks at it. Although he wouldn't have saved it, it would have looked a helluva lot cooler if he would just dive after the damn ball. It's just unrealistic when he just looks at it and does NOTHING.
I am very dissapointed with PES4. Goalkeepers is one thing. Have you noticed that the referre blows for a penalty too often and very easily???? I won 3 penalties in a single match...The other thing is that near the goal posts the players' movement is rather unnatural comparing to PES3.I think KONAMI should improve just a little bit the gameplay every time a new version comes out.
i think the game is great. Yes 1 on 1 with the keeper is harder but the game is more focused on building up the play and playing great passes and through balls not just running straight through the whole of the defence in one quick swoop, so i like it, wasn't sure at first but its rapidly growing on me. But i do agree panalties are far to frequent.
