keeping PES4 up-to-date

I'm going to buy PES4 on October 15th.
Having PES4 I want the game to be up-to-date at alltime.
Can anybody tell me whether there are like official
updates during the season, which include the latest transfers
and upcoming new players. I've heard about the X-port but actually
I don't know what it really does.
Could anybody be so kind to clear things up for me?
(I don't want to edit things manually because I think You can't just
change statistics of players or create new players yourself; it would ruin the genuinity of the game)

PS: I'm from Holland so if my English is not correct please try to just ignore it

Someone usually makes a disk with transfers, badges and strips I suppose this year. You just stick it on your memory card.

it was £5 or £10 last year, cant remember which!

Stay away from any disk like that as all it does is replace your option file with a very crappily dome version , best off getting an x-port and downloadin an option file that has been done by a real fan of the game...

I understand that official (like from KONAMI) updates during the season are not available. I think that's a shame. I dont want to import individual creations into my game.

I thought last years disk was good, mainly for the correct flags, which usually take so long to do by hand, it's not worth it, but they were all there! All the names and teams were correct too, however I had to change some kits, and rename Barcalona to Barcelona!
Dunno if there will be one this year, as last years was taken off the shelf as someone ruined Man U's flag, by replacing the 'Manchester United' writing with 'Dirty F***ing Scum C***s', although this could only be seen by going to the flag editor and zooming in.
I have, however, bought myself a Max Drive from

which will allow you to copy game saves from the net, and put them onto PES4. Dunno how to use it yet, but I will try when I get the game!

Has any of you guys seen teams such as Celtic and rangers, the player names are harder to make out. It'll take me ages to edit Stadiums,strips,players etc

The max drive looks good, but you'd be knackered if you saved over your option file with a crap one.

you can load every thing from pro evo 3 on to pro evo 4 !!

I used the X-Port for Pro Evo 3, and it worked a dream.

You could choose which parts of the game to be updated (Names etc.)

I've updated Pro Evo 4 myself and is actually more satisfied than with the X-Port.... But for the lasy ones it works great!
