Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial how to make kits for kitserver?

Wich programs I need, a template to start with etc?

I have been making PNG kits for now, but it's rather limited on advanced kits, so I was hoping to find some info on how to make them for kitserver. Maybe I'm not using the right keywords when I try to google, but all I find are PNG tutorials and a tutorial for making kits with the tools found in the game...
