Konami Comment on PES for PS3

The Boss
The creator of the Pro Evolution Soccer series has spoken out about the next generation version of the series. In an interview covered by Jeux France, he said:

"The online aspect will change drastically. From reading forums we realise that the game lags a lot, but this will be much, much better on PlayStation 3. Also, offline you'll have fantastic player movements that you'll probably only notice through replays. Of course, PlayStation 3 will give us more power to enrich the actual representation of football, such as artificial intelligence, so you'll have much smarter defenders. We'll be able to put much more emphasis on the offside battle between defenders and attackers because PlayStation 3 gives us more power."

what about Xbox 360

I'm confused. I hear the talk about PS3 but won't the next gen Winning Eleven first be coming to the 360, or at least be coming to both systems at the same time? Seems like the graphics won't be all that great with the next gen from what it sounded, almost as if they're reworking the game just a little bit graphically. I guess we'll have to wait for E3.

They actually read these forums!
I believe they do becos there are not many well supported places where they can get really good ideas. Winning Eleven is built based on popular demands, so I do not believe that they get the ideas only from Konami staff. Nobody knows where they get the ideas anyway so the question of them being sued is remote.

heard sony released statements dat the official release for PS3 will be in November... the delay caused by problems with the blu-ray manufacturers... hope more details will be out on E3

I'm thinking nothing has been released about the date of the PS3 release either because theyre setting it apart from the rest in making it better, or waiting to announce it as a launch title. makes sense as its coming out for everything else in october, including x360, and PS3 aint out till november anyway. what u think? or maybe they had blu ray problems but im not sure about that 1

In your opinions, does anyone think that the first PES PS3 game could have a create a team (both club and national feature) for those missing ones that people want but are disappointed when they are not included? I'm sure this will take up a lot of space on the disc, but since there is more storage space available on them, and the PS3 will be more powerful, can we possibly see this feature being added?

Im sure that with next-gen consoles having hard drives, there will be downloads included to enhance Pro Evo in the future. It would be great to download new stadiums, clubs, kits etc.. via XBOX live.

Yeah, that would be cool. Updates for squads should be a key issue too for when playing on Xbox live.

Yeah, downloadable content for PES6, why didn't I think of that, that would be sweet, but i think your both forgetting, or not mentioning, the new PS3 online service aswell which will also have downloadable content, and is looking to have more, wider-spread content, [going off topic slightly] such as music, videos, and "user-created" videos and games. The future looks bright for the PS3 and it's online service but time will only tell how its service will pan out. I still wonder if they are going to make PES for PS3 the best of the formats as I have heard its not out till later, january time. Will it be better and could also maybe include january transfers. Any info on this would be great. thanks

Yes it will be good... as long as Microsoft don't sue Sony for nicking their idea, just as Nintendo are suing Sony for the motion sensors and many other companies are also suing Sony.

Are you a PS3 fanboy Hitmanuk2k?

You seem very keen to promote PS3 PES and slate the upcoming XBox 360 version.......which will be also good.

If the graphics are not the next-gen leap we would expect, is it more of a technical problem. Are Konami having a problem improving the graphics and keeping the gameplay? I say this as my pc looked better than the ps2 version but Konami didnt look to use what the newer graphics cards are capable of for the pc version and the short video supposedly of pes6 for the 360 didnt look that much of an improvement:unsure:
