the dirbbling skill doesn't work for sure, I always delete the marking when a dribbler has it because without the dribbling skill mark the players dribble alot more

and I seriously doubt that the other special skills work either

I don't know what Dribble does.

But the other skills are able to pull off.

The spin, stepovers, overhead volley, feint, sidestep and others all work, although you might question the use of some tricks :)

I think that the dribble ability makes the player able to turn with the ball sharper and quicker.

Well, that´s another point, there´s a difference between "special skills don´t affect anything" or "they don´t affect that what Konami says".
I think the dribble special ability influences the commonness of dribbling, but because even players without this special skill dribble very often you can´t see it clearly.
Just an advice from me if you don´t believe that the special skills have an effect on the game:
Take a team and set all abilities from the starting players to 70-80, but deactivate all special skills, set form arrows to green for your team and play a few matches on 4* or 5*. Then go to edit mode and assign some special skills for the same team, eg playmaking, direct play and assists for the midfielders, def. control and man marking to the defenders, reaction for the strikers. And then play with the same conditions against the same team and you´ll see the difference.

but about the dribbling skill, players with high dribbling skills barely go for dribbles when cpu controlled in my game with or without the dribbling skill marked

I only got it well with real madrid with ronaldo and classic argentina with maradona, I put them as a striker very near the other striker and an attacking arrow to the goal, sometimes it works but with the regular stuff they barely go for dirbbles especialy not in the midfield like giggs :(

I dno't take notice of those, but what I think from tje name,

is that it's easier to pull off than those who do not have the skill.

Anyway do you know who has the Long Throw ability???

so what i think you're tryin' to say, is that the cpu controlled player with the with the dribble-special ability on, doesn't exploit his skills?

that's what I mean, yes

maradona barely goes for dribbles regularly but now I got the tactics right fro classic argentina he dribbles alot more and it looks amazing but the problem is that I can't get ir right on most teams and especially not with midfielders or defenders

and the dribbling special skill marked on or off doesn't work at all :(

I hope they change that in pes4 so they give more character to each player, like beckham dragging to the middfle of the field and then giving long inaccurate passes to the other goalie, c ronaldo doing oversteps but doesn't get past any opponent, maradona with his amazing style of dribbling, aggrincha with his tricky legs etc.

the dribbling skill just means it's easier to skin defenders because the player is more responsive to commands, it doesn't mean that a player will try and dribble more when he has it. I think you'll find that most of the specials work just fine though

I love the skills, The amount that Konami have got into the game is amazing, I never man mark and they always dribble which is a tad un-realistic :(
