I can see Flipper's point (in response to your question Marky) about Technique and Speed.
If a player is quick enough (Speed) and has a good enough touch (Technique) to get himself into a good position to score, Shot Technique no longer becomes an issue - you only need about 72+ Shot Accuracy and you'll score. A quick player with a good touch will also make many other activities easier for himself - short passes can be made easier if you get into the right position, and tackling is all a matter of being good at timing the slide tackle, regardless of someone's Defence attribute, anyway.
Although I wouldn't go as far as saying Speed and Technique are all that's needed - I see his point. Stats like "Attack" and "Defence" which deal with the positional side of the game are irrelevant when the human is playing - you take control of where the player goes, and you can counter-act shite attributes by 'forcing' runs upon players by playing half of a one-two, or by giving them directional arrows and such. There are plenty of work-arounds to shit stats.
