I don't really notice the stadiums either to be honest.

I'd much prefer it if they make a decent attempt at licensing more leagues/teams.

I'm with these two guys. When I was 13-14 then yes it mattered but now I couldn't give a shit where I play. What matters to me is the pitch, as long as I don't play on that pitch with all the lines that was in PES5(I think it was an Italian sounding stadium) them I'm happy.

To be honest, I don't really notice the stadium while playing. The only thing you really see is the front few rows (depending on camera type) when you go down the wings, and most of them look alike. The only time I would appreciate the look of the stadiums is pre-kick-off, but even that doesn't matter, since I just skip that part after having the game for a while.

I agree, Stadiums are hugely Overrated.. at least in Football Sims. I would rather have the "Classic Players" with spot-on faces.. how cool would it be to see; Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Garrincha, Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore, Baresi, Valderrama, etc, etc.. in High Def Graphics??

I would be far more pleased with proper "Classic Players" -instead- of some Licensed Stadiums. Who notices the Stadium while playing??

And I must add, that it is kind of diminishing to see Peter Crouch with an impressive face -and- then see the likes of Maradona and Pele with cheap looking faces.. it's just not right.

Konami should show a little Decency and include the "Classic Players" with their proper faces, how hard can that be??

Yeah, but to do that, you don't necessarily need the Stadium to look exactly like Chelsea's -or- be named exactly as the real thing. They just need to improve on the atmosphere of each Stadium, instead of focusing on making them Different Looking -they- should focus on giving them a different feeling.

Honestly, a created stadium such as "Red Cauldron" could look very impressive, they just need to add that Liverpool atmosphere -wich- pretty much makes the place.

I remember they did that once, where you could choose how many fans of each side there was in a stadium and also the bias of the refs and commentators. So, if you were playing away, the ref would favour the home side, making it a bit more difficult for you (the away team). I think it was even as recent as PES6.

I think Konami should elaborate on that, take it even further..

Because, that's what really Differentiates Stadiums.. just compare the atmosphere at the Bernabeu -with- the Atmosphere at Liverpool's ground, completely different.

And then again, it would be noticeable during Gameplay. Who notices a Stadiums Shape during Gameplay??

That pitch was shocking!! Could hardly see the ball move about, even worse when it was snowing.

Aye, I think it was Parma's ground, it was terrible. I agree that the pitch is far more important, but Konami's lack of overall effort is quite shocking.
