Konami Vs Ea Have Konami Screwed It This Time

They'd still have to pay for the licencing on any patches though. Which is why independent patch-makers can make the whole game look much better and for free too.

You probably won't be able to transfer anything from your PC to a PS2 patch-wise. It'd have to be burned onto a CD.

I think Fifa has nothing to do with Pes, now and never.
Right here is my final verdict the two games do have something to do with each other because as true football fans ppl want the best they can get for they money , i mean lets face it a brand new ps2 game isnt cheap.
And these two fight it out every year to be the most realistic football experience available to play on your console i may be a pes fan but if fifa was the better game in my opinion i would only buy fifa.
So here is my final verdict after playing over 200 games on pes3 and around 50 or so on fifa.
Pes 3 if ya lucky enough to have a stutter free copy which i still cant explain why some are stuttering and others are not i mean new ps2s stuttering and old one not and vise versa must be different copys kicking about ones made earlyer than others with the bug and ones made later without IT is my guess.
Right to the point im totally stutter free and without dout now after giving both a good play pes3 is the king the realistic game play is unmatched by fifa although this is the best fifa by a long way it still feels alittle arcady.
My final opinon is if you love football as much as i do and support a team that isnt featured in pes3 like my team isnt then buy both,
Because there are two different experiences pes 3 is as close as you will ever get to playing a real game of footy on your console and although fifas game play is very good it still dosen't feel like a proper game of football as much pes3 dose.
But with all the licences and excellent detail and very decent game play is still makes value for money my overall score of the two games is.
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (Stutter Free 10/10)
Fifa 2004 (8/10)
;)
I think this is a fair assment of both games and im not like some so called fans of consoles games who slag the competion for the sake of it ive been playing football games on pcs and consoles for 20 years going back to emlyn hughes soccer on amiga back in 1984 now that was a game of football lol

One more interesting fact that which i hope will be sorted out shortly.
My copy of pes 3 has now been tryed in 7 ps2's the oldest being nearly 3 years old and theres not a stutter in sight on any of the consoles , so as i said in my last post i think it could be when the game was pressed and maybe konami havent been arsed to recall discs made at an early date well just a thought

Anybody who has read my threads will know how much of a pes lover i am , but after reading all the threads of ppl having problems with the stutter i feel sorry for you all and feel a little let down by konami (Even though im completely stutter free).
But what i am playing at the moment throws a big spanner in the works because im playing fifa 2004 as guess what im enjoying it there are a lot of things different with this version as ive always thought all pre versions where total shite , i can see quite a few things from pes added here and at the end of the day i know this is a pes forum and im one of the biggest fans in the world but ill tell ya what this fifa games getting me hooked i really do like it.
But before you all starting calling me im only being honest at last we have a decent fifa game which is only fair to all the muggs who have wasted they money over the years with ea shite.
And at the end of the day im a football fan who loves watching playing for real , and playing football computer games.
Im not going to say i think its better than pes3 as this would be untrue but its a very enjoyable game with excellent comm and graf's and the game play is getting close to pes.
All im saying for now is the fact this stutter problem as become a big issue i think pes3 has a fight on its hands this year for the number 1 spot ;).
I think a few ppl may be gonna switch ends

I thought lasts years fifa seemed good but then after about 4 matches it just got boring, gaza give it another few days and i bet u will think fifa 2004 is boring :p

There are no plans of PES3 (the PC version) going online, as of yet, and knowing Konami's procastinating attitude, I don't think we will see it officially implemented in the PC PES3.
I think patchers might be able to give us something, though.

I have rented out fifa this weekend and it is a big improvement to a certain extent. Its really pretty in graphics terms but the gameplay lacks ambition. EA have screwed it this time!

fifa 2004 pretty ? . My copy has so much slow down it wouldn't get into the Wolves reserves. I have played an Xbos version and it is heaps smoother and moves at a cracking pace. The game is fun but shlallow

I'll tell you something, I've never had any stutter problems with FIFA and from what I'm aware there has never been a stutter problem with FIFA. So to say have Konami become EA is stupid, and a bit of an insult to EA. BTW, I haven't experienced the stutter problem (on the PC demo) :) I think its a matter of some people's PC's and maybe hyper-threading thats creating this stutter problem, not Konami

ive not been able to download the pes3 pc demo as it would take me about 3 days, so im gonna wait for the final version. im optomistic about it though, just because of the editing possibilities.

I can't believe so many people are making such a meal of and getting worried about this stutter bug...

The game stops for a fraction of second when the ball goes in the net... that's it. Nothing else.

im on dial up lol, it said itd take 27 hours to download!!!

the stutter bug is worse for some people than others, i dont even have the delay when it goes into the net but some people have it all the time.
