L1 + X not working

There's this play i used to make in others WE's, which was using L1 + X. The palyer with the ball passed the balll to his teamate, who automatically passed the ball back again to his teamte. This play is even one of the plays on the practice area on WE7. But i can't seem to make it work here. Am i doing something wrong? Is that different on WE7?

thats not true GKF, if you pass with X in a different direction the player then it won't pass it back to him.

You need to use L1 + X, the just triangle if you want a 1-2 Pass. You can be facing any direction when you press triangle and it will still still try and pass it back to the reciever.

You don't need to press L1 a second time. Just pressing triangle will suffice

How do u hold onto the onetwo pass so that your guy can run into a decent bit of space, eveytime I try it ,,, the ball is released as soon as the player receives it.??????????/ HELP

I remember is ISS 98, you could hold onto it

I think this has been done away with seeing as you need to press triangle before the player receives the pass.

However, I do recall that if you press X to pass then press R2 (I think!) immediately after X then the passing player sprints forward.

Basically when you play a one-two this is what happens - you in control of a player (player a) you then pass use L1 & X to your team mate (player b). Once you have passed you assume control of Player B, when you have posession of the ball, Player A the makes the return run and you have the following options:-

1. you can simply pass the ball back to player B, using any method

2. you can beat a player etc, then pass back to player A

3. you can use the run of player A as a decoy and choose not to pass back
