L2 to call another player ?

I think you can call another player by either shouting out to him or giving him a ring on a mobile. HAHAHAHAH!!! I'm slaying myself with my comic genius.

But seriously, I think it might actually be R2. I'm not 100% sure coz I've got Xbox (damn the Xbox pad).

Yeah I know about R2. But this doesn't work if u don't pass, right ? I mean, normally u pass the ball to another player then u press R2, then the former player makes a run. But if u only press R2, the player will just sprint.
So finally the question is: is there a way to force a teamate to make a run ?

Hi,
I've read somewhere that you can call another player by pressing L2 long enough. Is this true ?
Thxs,

I think he means in freekicks where if u hold L2 u bring in a second player for the free-kick
is this right m8?

Hold L2 to add or move a player when you take attacking free kicks (in their half).

Maybe he means calling for a player with regards to when you play in FIX mode. And looks like he won't find the answer unless he stops being vague.

He's evidently asking if you can make other players go on runs without passing the ball. To my knowledge, you can't. There is the hold L1 or R2 after passing, but that's about all I know, other than using L2+ a manual strategy to change the way players move. Manual strategies might accomplish what you're looking for, though, if you could plan it properly; for instance, if it's your AMF you want to run out ahead, then having a pre-set manual strat for a formation where he does so and switching to it would make him do that. There is a little bit of time between executing a formation strat and having it go into effect, though.

Does that really work? So if I want an extra player in the box when attacking a player, I hold L2 (black on Xbox)? I'll give it a go.

Original?

No, it makes a second player stand over the free kick in the dead ball situation and you can then make either player take the free kick, if you want the secondary player to hit it, do everything as normal but hold :L1:

OK, thxs. I already knew about R2, but I find it a bit hard to use, because u have to keep pressing R2. So u can't control the other player (to whom u make the pass), e.g. with R1 to push the ball further.
In contrast, if u use L1+x the former guy automatically makes his run without u having to keep R2 pressed. So u can control the other guy.
But I've read in other thread that the R2 technique is more efficient than L1+x. What do u guys think ?

it works if u have 2 strikers on 1 defender and u have the ball press l2 and it will make the other striker make a run.

The AI makes runs for you, and if your player has the Reaction Special Ability or something like that he does it more frequently.
