Lack of Real Stadiums..

One of the things that is really really really letting PES 2016 down (Apart from the Goalkeepers) and keeps me from playing this game more often is the serious lack of licensed stadiums, PES 2017 needs to have A LOT more real stadiums for this game to be taken serious IMO..

Its not that easy to gain stadium licenses, I think EA have lots of them exclusively. It wont be that much of a problem if we had lots of fake, but orientated stadiums. I dont think anyone would prevent them from creating stadiums that in they design are similar to English ones or smaller stadiums from lets say France/Netherlands/Portugal. The other thing is that PES team doesnt have that much of resources and time. For instance, last year one of the main issues was even smaller amount of stadiums than this year. PS4 and Xbox One at the beginning had like 12 stadiums? Adam and everyone knew that, so when they presented PES 16, it was mentioned a lot that they added more stadiums, because it was an issue INDEED, but at the same time Adam said that the total number wont be that much bigger, because the same people who are responsible for making a stadium are responsible for gameplay animations, faces and so on. So Adam mentioned that they thought animations, faces... are more important than two or three stadiums at the given time. I know, its kind of weird, but that the reality, I believe theyr resources and team are really restricted. That doesnt mean they couldnt use theyr time more effective, changing theyr priorities, but it is how it is at the moment. Not much of us get to know how they work and how everything goes out there.

As posted in loads of discussions previously bringing back stadium creator even on a basic level would be a huge step forward or adding more fake stadiums especially smaller ones for the lower divisions would not be so taxing on their limited resources could even outsource it some of the designs from the past are amazing

Exactly, but there is something more to that. Last time stadium creator appeared in the game was PES 13. Since then most of the stuff disappeared. Just like that. Adam said that they understood the importance of licenses. This was the answer to why stadium creator was left behind. Dont know what that exactly means, but I dont think there is any more clear answer to this question.

Anyway, bringing back as much fake Konami stadiums as possible from past PES, would be at least some sort of step further. The more stadiums, the better. The other question is how much time does it take to work on current gen stadiums, because most of them were from years ago.

Spot on bring back the stadium creator and the whole problem is solved.

"If we make stadiums we can't make faces, animations, etc..."

It seems that the game was made by 2 persons in a garage like a indie game...

PES used to be good at generating a lot of fake stadiums. I was okay with that.

Agreed. Playing in the same stadium 30 times a season does get boring, I like the "feel" of playing in unfamiliar surroundings. Even having the option of changing the size of the five editable stadiums for each team would be good.

Also, another stadium related issue that has bugged me for YEARS is domestic cup games being played a neutral venues, who's idea was this and what was the point!?

I often play as lower league teams and get all excited when I draw one of the big boys in the FA Cup, DFB Pokal etc but then realise that they won't be coming to my home ground but some random one, even of PES '13 it was Forest v Arsenal at the Maracana or somewhere equally ridiculous. :realmad:

It would be nice if we at least got back the 3 Portuguese stadiums of Benfica, Porto & Sporting Lisbon, along with Monaco's stadium, as well as the Nou Camp & Bernabeu! Then they should be looking at adding stadiums like Wembley etc..

Can they also not keep stadiums they had the licenses for such as the Stadion Naradowy? Its not like Fifa has these so there should be no license excuses..

P.S. Does anyone know why the Allianz Arena is called FuBball Arena Múnchen?

If in 10 years they (Konami) can't (afford to...) change something as simple as the AI scripting then I really don't think there is money (or creative energy) in the coffers to implement a Stadium Editor.
