Lag on 360??

Hi, a friend recently bought evo 5 on his xbox 360 as he couldn't wait for evo 6 and wanted to go online. He's played a few games on xbox live and noticed lag when it's the other persons turn to host the half. Another mate said this was probably cos everyone else was on old xbox which probably had lag on most games but i can't help gettin worried bout lag on the new evo.
I used to play online on my pc and there was often lag and people used to purposely put downloads on if they were host. Do u think that the 360 version will be lag free as i haven't noticed another other games sufferin lag when i've been on xbox live on my xbox?

Seabass says they've worked hard at the Live game to make it play as if the other pserson was in the room with you.

I can understand it must be really hard for them to work with lag issues, because there isn't much you can do if the person your playing has a terrible connection so I wouldn't blame the creators of any games about lag just the people your playing against, because you can get lag free games and games with lots of lag, it's just down to the other persons connection (unless your connection is really poor)

The cause of lag may be the connection of one of online players or the console itself. You have no choice regarding the first reason, but when we are going to grade the next generation consoles, i think PS3 will be much better and more adapted to online gameplay, as a british magazine stated that PS3 will be three times better than Xbox 360. At the end i prefer PS3.

Huh? The PS2's online system was awful, Microsoft are the best developersof software in the world and it shows on XBL. The PS3's online system will not surpass the 360's, espically if it's from Xfire which reports have suggested it will be.

ps3 three times better than a 360 lets see one ps3 cell chip-3.4ghz running six cores at 256 mhz each yawn
360 3 times 3.2ghz cpu's running in three cores at 3.2ghz each and combined power of 9.6 ghz!!!!!!!

oh and sony has two types of ram running on the ps3 thats what causing programmers to go mental and can games for ayear so they can fix the issues with sonys ram 256mb of sony xxggddr ram and 256mb of ggddr ram

360 512mbof ggddr ram the stuff that lets your machine work none of this clashing ram crap my lap top has 1024ggddr ram my workstation has about the same or just some more with a massive graphics card

sony have messed up bigtime with the ram even the kidie wiii has 512mbggddr ram unified so its doin fine

when its finally arrives on these shores buy one and play the same games you got on the pc and 3260 on it all it cost for your bu ray...i mean ps3 was £450 to get a glorified dvd player in your front room

No-one has played as PS3 so how would anyone know that a PS3 is 3 times better then a 360? And how can something so subjective be quantified as 3 times better?

Xbox has Live and to date, it is unparalleled on the console market. Sony would have to pretty much copy it, give it away for free and allow addition content to be free as well for it to be better. Even then it won't be '3 times' better.

Don't believe everything you read. Especially if its an official Playstation magazine feeding you this crap.
