Yeah it was a good tourny mate, a lot of waiting around for the knockout stages to start though.

There were 8 of us in my group, I had to win my last game to win the group and go through as I was playing the person who was 2nd. I ended up winning 4-1 if I remember right.

The knockout stages was a bit gutting. I was 2-0 up i think. Had a player send off and he pulled it back to 2-3. I scored a free kick and it went to extra time. I hit the bar off another free kick and he went up the other end and scored a flukey goal. Then the player ran off and slid along the floor with his arms up which was a bit stupid haha.

It was a good tournament though mate, make sure you sign up up for the PES League next season. If you do I might play you if there's another Birmingham League :)

Talking of which, I hope to be playing you again Zyg next month at the finals ;)

Is this tournament part of a bigger league or a stand alone thing?

I came second or third in my group. I thought they'd release results and tables etc but no - they threw all the paperwork away on the same day :rolleyes:

I had to win my last match to qualify for the next round and had a bit of a nightmare against the guy who did finish top. A bit of bad luck. I reckon I'd beat him if I'd played him again right then, or even now. But that's the way it went.

cheers original, i have the place where u sign up for the birmingham tournie stored on my favourites so i dont forget the website:D, i ccheck it regulary, it was my first tournie so my nerves were sky high, hope to do better next time.
