Thanks T1000. Its good to have someone else with optimism – and perspective! OK, some of us are going overboard about how good it’ll be, but that’s down to past experience of products. People who are going way over-board with the negativity seem to totally lack objectivity. As I said, we all know it is going to be better, hopefully, but lets face it – its unlikely to change the world. We knew that. If it is genuinely better than PES3, I’ll be more than happy with it. Even if it had been PES3 with lots more teams and some licenses to be honest i would still have got it, most likely! But you know what im saying. It should at least be good enough.
I actually dont mind the new arsenal kit - havent seen the away one though. Anyone seen Southamptons away kits this season? I like the yellow one, not so sure about the light blue though.

yea, just hope that they will get more licenses after WE8. i love to have all the club sides fully licensed in WE8i

Well WE7 had 2 balls available. PES3 had one.
PES3 had 2 extra licensed teams than WE7.
PES3 had the "flick up" move, WE7 didn't.
Gameplay wise there is a difference but I cant really tell to be honest. I haven't actually sat down and played one after the other. Other people will be able to tell you the gameplay differences better than me

Well when we makes the transition to PES, there are usually a few tweaks. i've not played any we games, but most of time people seem to prefer we. I guess PES is aimed the European market, and for that i guess they try to tailor it a little to how we may see football, but like i said it usually seems to be a few tweaks for the worst. But all in all i guess there isnt that much difference. Just hoping they can acquire a few more licenses by in time for PES4.
Yeah, thats kind of what i was hoping youd say about the licenses. Odd how theyd tweak for the worst, though. I cant imagine how or why they'd do that. On the other hand I'd prefer licensed teams to 2 balls. I guess at the end of the day, I'm going to be getting PES4.. Although this is a dummy question, but will WE8 have an english option and is there a PC version being released? I flogged my PS2...

Clearly its a version of WE for the international market, but a lot of people on here seem to think WE7 was massively different (and worse) than WE7i.. I guess I should know but as I say Ive never really kept up with PS2 news really, let alone PES news apart from I knew when to buy it and all. And I knew WE was the japanese version really, that they got earlier. More than this, i did not know.

Hmm a question about the vid, where they show the edit, point 7 (3m40s in the full vid) and he is drawing a large WE, is that a sponsor edit that we could possibly apply to kits?? cos it doesnt look like a badge edit to me, more like something where you can design texts with designs maybe, what you guys think?
