Yes. Just shoot normaly, when there's two men over the ball.

Right on the edge of the box, it goes in 7 or 8 times out of ten with a good player.

Certain goal now for my ML team (and a nice assist for Fabregas every time!)

yea if i can do a 'tapper' inside 20 yards then it is a certain goal and about 7 out of 10 times it will go in. the other 3 times i get a corner so that's not bad. i usually let giggs lay it off to rooney. its just magic.

The computer have done it against me, they try it but never usually pull it off.

But when I do it, the ball just floats up with no power:S. On the x-box it's L & R & A, but I think I may be doing something wrong, anyone help me?

I used to be able to do them on PES4 aswell

Have a left footer Kicking it if your going for the left post
Have a Right footer kicking it if your going for the right post

The freekick is in the x position and your going for the right post have your 2nd player tap it to the right and then your right footer aim a shot towards the right post with half power on the bar and hold up, you have to be fast tho as you cant let the kicker take a touch, because if the ball is rolling and he hits it first time you get loads of power.

The FK itself is not cheating. It's the fact that the keeper advances when it is layed off that makes it easy to lob him. I'm guessing it's another bug in the game.
Anyone notice how shity it looks when you lay it off from the other side? The kicker runs in ackwardly and the whole affair looks very slanted and off balance, if you know what i mean.

press L1 + X for the non kicking player to lay off the ball for the taker to shoot... Press L1 + Square for the non takin player to take shot... normally it will surprise the keeper...

Quick question about the triangle and x functions on free kicks. I know triangle is for strong and x is for weaker, but when do you hit these? So you are holding down square for shooting then after you hold it down you hold triangle or x? or do you tap it? Or do you somehow hold down triangle or x while pressing square to shoot?

Just got Winning Eleven 9 and this is different then WE8 obviously. So this is confusing.

my way of scoring a lay of freekick which goes in nearly everytime is to lay the ball off by holding down L1 then pressing x to pass it the to shoot i keep my finger on [] untill its about 1/4 of the way up the bar and as he goes to shoot hold down triangle.

it works nearly every time for me. i havent tried it though from a distance longer than 25 m

SGUARE TO SHOOT AND ONCE THE BALL IS RELEASED KEEP PRESSING TRIANGLE FOR THE SHOT TO DIP VERY QUICKLY.

I was glad to see that they aded the lay off option in the game... It give you a chance to maintain control of the ball and kill off those valuable last seconds in a game against a mate.
