I've only played a few games so far but the pattern seems to be.

If you have a quick connection opponents have a good chance so you are at a disadvantage.
If you have a slow connection opponents have no chance so you are at an advantage.

surely this isn't right. I was really looking forward to this league starting but it appears the connection is the real factor in results.

I know you play home and away but if your upload speed is good you don't get any real advantage as the other player doesn't suffer much lag!

Any thoughts?

i have a speed connection 1024 kb and the people says that have big lag when play against me.

I have had bad lag issues so far, but i have still managed to be p8 w6 d1 l1.

Remember, this is only the pre-lims, hopefully the patch will be out when this thing kicks off for real

are you playing the same game??

I've monitored the traffic from my router and it peaks at around 180 upload when i'm hosting although the available bandwith is around 270.

So if i play somebody with say 128 upload there will be lag no question.

The amount of data downstream to the host is minimal

I'm certainly not quitting if thats your implication.
My initial statement was that it seems people with slower upload connections have an unfair advantage.

PES3KINGO04 usefull points of discussion might be, Should people host games with slow connections? and not denying that it isn't making any difference.

It will be interesting to look at the final standings and see how may people near the top have slow upload speeds.

I'd suggest that you make sure you're not using your internet connection for anything but the match being played. Be sure you're not down/uploading anything or even surfing. And have a go at fixing the offline exhibition match settings to stadium effects off and crowd set to zero. Might make a difference.

you can you say that? I played 8 lost 1, first person to qualify for Premier, and im talking about the bad lag....

Yeah only the ppl that lose have lag
