Legendary players

I don't own ps2 and am eagerly awayting pes4 to com out on pc. One thing I'd like to ask is about unlockable retired players. I mean thoes extraordinary superb players like Maradona, Pele, Cruiff, Garrincha. Do some of them also have their special feel when playing them or maybe unique moves, like Garrinchas trademark feint. Can you do a slalom past defenders across the whole field or sneak through the tightest defenss with Maradona more often liek he did ir real life. Mybe Higuita's scorpion save?:D
I'm interested in it because my way of playing ML on WE7int/PES3 was kind of making classical club teams with the best players that has ever played for them. For example my Barcelona had Maradona, Koeman, Hagi, Laudrup. Ajax was lead by Cruiff etc.

Hmm..not too informative, but oh well, I guess there isn't much people who use these players anyway. I'm one of the rare freaks.

I was just wondering is it more legendary teams/players in WE8 than in PES 3?. I am buying legendary players all the time in Master League. Specially Maradonna, he is just great. I would also recomend Beckenbauer, he is the best deffender in the game (PES 3).

Maradonna is GOD!!!!!

Brehme is an excellent full back who has a wicked free kick and peter schmeichel is the king of keepers!

Look at the thread of translated names for unlocked players mate...you can see for yourself! [sorry trying to find the link]

Well, Huigita's there, why wouldn't he do a little something of his trademark stuff, like fooling around the pitch while action's on the opposite side or trying to feint Roge Milla near his own goal.:D
Ok, that's a bit of a dreaming, but does Valderama has his big yellou hair thing on his head at least. Because in original unpatched version Maradona for example didn't even look like himself as weren't Gerd Muller, Gullit etc.

I think it ruins the mastel league that you can buy players that retired years n years ago like Pelé , Garrincha etc. and its annoying when you're playing against the computer and they have one of these players ....it kinda makes the game unrealistic IMO

I know, you're absolutely right. But as I said in the first post, It's just that I have a different habbits playing ML. I've always played that way since the first Konami game on PS1 that had ML (I don't recall the title). I've never been in to realistic aproach to the rosters in We/Pro, actually I'm not as near as concerned about having right players in right teams with exactly the same lineups as in real life, today.
Maybe it's because from the very begginning, when these classic footballers were included in ML options I always thought that i don't want to miss them out of my virtual footie playing experience and will try to see most of them in the action.
I'm playing in the ''classic'' clubteam mode ever since and with all these additional unlockable players am sure to be doing this in Pes4 too.
Imo it's an interesting experience. I get the feeling that these teams I create plays feels very differently and their own style of playing feels even more than playing modern known clubs.
For example:
Barcelona has very good tehnique but a bit slow dribblers like Figo, Rivaldo, Maradona, Ronaldinho. And defence is not monstroes - Nadal, Abelardo, Koeman, Sergi. They re playing really the typical Barca football for me. Imo Davids does not fits in Barca setting even in real life.:).
As for Davids, there's classical Ajax as well, featuring a couple of 70's greats, Cruiff, Kroll (i'm thinking now who else to add from that team), but mostly the mid 90's golden generation players who we're a bit more familiarized with, yes, Davids, Seedorf, Cluivert, F & R De Boer, Overmars, Canu, Okocha, Cocu, Reiziger, Bogarde, Van der Saar. The gameplay now is a whole lot different, fast paced, a little more physical, not so excelent at dribbling, but faster passing and counter attacks with the likes of Davids, Okocha, oh yeah and Babangida:).
Well, shoot me for all that.

And besides, the ML thingie is not too realistic anyways. These imaginar southern/western leagues, wefa cups and ever so silly managemant system doesn't a realistic football experience make anyway. No offence on no one and nothing:).

BTW, S n double o p, funny sig LOL!

Well it could be real fun yah...

I think I will try that too, normally in ML i disable the option of retired players.
But it could be fun to create classical teams...

Will try it definately :D
