Instead of going OTT over what should be in the next version of PES (quick on the ball a lot of you considering PES4 has been out only a few weeks) maybe we should keep it simple and look at where FIFA is better and improve on that.

Obvious things are

1 Licensing (proper teams, players & leagues) I think a master league format would still work with proper leagues.

2 Commentary. Thank you Peter & Trevor but sitting 6pts clear at the top of the table is not a team facing relegation.

3 Crowd effects. FIFA seem to have this (and item 2) implemented perfectly.

One other idea ,not strictly to improve PES, more for asthetic properties (while the disc loading thing is happening) but how about a MOTD kind of scenario. Lineker (for example) at a desk, in the studio introducing the game (with a view out to the pitch behind him). Ie "welcome to todays league/cup game between x and y... " and finish with "and now down to the pitch with our commentator x who is joined by y"

Maybe have a couple of different commentators & co-commentators!

And put this into half time with studio scenario again but with a monitor showing the highlights and a few comments like "this was the long range effort well saved"

I mean we can consider all these extra options yeah but you have to remember Konami focuses mainly on gameplay chants,licsensed names etc are second in there list. Fifa as some glowing attributes in some areas, but PES will always kick its ass in the playerbility area. We have right here on the net gifted people who can do out licenses and other stuff..i really dont think Konami will ever get all the right team and player names.

Yes those are Very simple ideas but they can only be added to the next WE/PES game by buying licences and paying extra for the commentators/scripting etc.
The ideas in the other threads, if implemented could possibly make the perfect game of football. And they aren't over the top. Some of the ideas are merely things that were taken out of the game which shouldn't have been and simple things like improving replays etc. I would prefer the ideas from the other thread to be implemented before the ones in this thread.

In a perfect world, all ideas from both threads could be implemented.

its easy to explain why PES 4 still has no proper licensing and no proper crowd effects:
Konami needs something to improve every year!
gameplay is already perfect, so next year we will have full licensing hopefully.
in 2 years maybe the crowd effects,
in 3 years maybe more leagues and authentic european cup modes..

or vice versa points 1-3
