Calm down. Eventually they'll realize they HAVE to listen to us or something better will come along.
So far I have written 3 letters to Konami with about 60 suggestions and I did finally get a reply them after some chiding. In fact I have posted their reply on the message board. In their reply they mentioned that they will only accept suggestion from people who works in Konami. I was actually shocked by their curt reply. How would people know where the ideas came from. Just look how many of us wanted the ref to be on the pitch. It is now finally in WE8. So does that mean the idea came from a Konami's staff? Who knows.

The idea may have came from football? If you watch a match you will see a referee in real-life.

Indeed. Did you notice I said eventually? I'm not trying to criticize you but I think you missed the fact that I meant in the future. Like what FIFA is going through now, but further down. It is rather shocking though, that would only accept advice (suggestions might be a better word) from themselves. I mean, that's like a writing a song and then only relying on your personal opinions. You need outside input. Then again, what am I telling you this for? They are the ones who need to listen.

:D

Roach, I know that you are not criticizing me. Just that I am peeved by Konami curt reply while I am in the midst of writing Part 4. If you have played Football Kingdom, you will notice without any doubt where they got their ideas from. Definitely not from Namco.

It's quite mind-numbing if you ask me (their reply).

i believe konami will not implement all the ideas they have (either from themselves or from us) into the game even though it's POSSIBLE. Reason is that if they put all these suggestions into the next release, they may run out of ideas on how to improve on further releases. It's like they keep some crucial ideas under their tables and release some little new improvements on WE8, and after a year, they took out those remaining ideas for WE9, WE10, etc etc..meaning they are NOT GOING to rush on all the improvements bcoz they wants to prolong WE series. This is their marketing strategies. We are just KONAMI's worshippers.

You may have a point there but wit intense competition coming from Namco and EA, they better change their stance. If they are not going to listen others will.
Without any doubt, Konami has the best soccer game in the World but in terms of market share, they are definitely behind Fifa. Owing to their poor marketing strategy many people through ignorance are not aware that PES/WE is indeed miles ahead of Fifa. Konami besides being overly cautious and extremely conservative are over confident. Accepting ideas only from people who works in Konami speaks volume of how far behind they have rated their nearest competitor. Having played Football Kingdom, I believe that they have overlooked the fact that there are indeed short cuts.

yes cadbury u r right. Their ignorance to consumers' ideas is basically unacceptable. They should consider each and every of consumers' suggestions and feedbacks towards the game very seriously. After all, we are the ones spend 24/7 playing it, not them, so as far as gameplay is concern, we 'may' know better. Look at how FIFA still sells like hot cakes, it's because FIFA dev team always try to satisfy consumers' appetite even though the game itself sucks. If only KONAMI gave a thought or two to us, I bet FIFA series is done for.

You guys have a point.

In nearly every other aspect of life, a company will listen to feedback on its products to make them better. There is no shame in this, infact most companies use market research to find out what their consumers want. Konami definately need to listen to some outside opinions, even if they pass the ideas off as their own - i don't care! As long as we get a better game at the end.

Those suggestions sound good even if some are a bit over the top ! How about a fully editable custom league and cup ? Then you wouldn't have to rely on paper and pen leagues !!!!

all that would be nice but excuse my ignorance but wouldn't the game al suffer by puttin all these things? It would be great to have pro evo with all that stuff..but i dunno if they can fit all that good stuff along with the current good stuff..maybe im just dumb to the cd size..good luck tho..i'm 100% behind you in the need for your suggestions..$hady

i think that the transfer mode should be upgraded.....i mean the actual one is very stupid....they should do something much simpler...like in Fifa for example!but the actual one is horrible!

i think if pro evo had fifas leagues and strips and a real transfer market instead of stupid point system it would be awesome

I beg your pardon?
If you write to Konami, you'll probably get a standard letter in reply, basically stating that they might have had the idea before you, and you can't take credit for it. It's just babble really, they are covering their backs.
I'll see if I can find the response they ALWAYS send...

Having played PS3/WE8, I am now beginning to realize that Konami does listen. I have written to Konami with about 60 suggestions and I am beginning to see my effort not being wasted. I am the least bothered where they got the suggestion from, the important thing it is in the game. For instance, I have touched on handballs and how it has impaired the smooth flow of the game, the lack of indirect free kicks. I have asked for ref on the pitch and additional skills like poking the ball through the legs of your opponents. Someone suggested retirement of players. I mean man, you can find all these in WE8/PES3. So I would continue to write to Konami whether they listen or not. This is the best computer game ever produced.

a good new addition would be national anthems. and the crowd should sing along. that would add great realism to the games:D
