oh yeah, more teams. id love to see every top league represented with domestic cups in the season, along with european games - but done a lot better than fifa have done

but also there shud be the master league option cos its an original idea and can add a new dimension to the game

Howdo! You strange bunch of arguing people! This is what I'd like to see (off the top of my head) in PES3. And I do realise that a lot of this will repeat other people...

FIFA style leagues from around the world (unlikely)
or
4 Divs in ML plus a Champions League format thrown in (so you play unlockable teams in "Europe" - this could work as in you can only select one team to do ML with and when youwin "Europe" you can do it over again with another unlocked team... might work?)

Better commentary

Better player selection in multi-player (and single player). Never chooses the nearest player.

Fatigue bar over selected player (as I really like the yellow number for a card...although a card would be better)

Trademark moves for certain players (only when they are red-hot though) like Zidanes dragbacks, etc.

A news section in negotiations actually ticker-taping where people have gone. AND when players hand in transfer requests.

A asst manager who can recommend "promising players" from your own youth system

Players missing on international duty

Charity Shield

Expand on the training/UMBRO section

Actually using training in ML to increase teamwork and other stats

Players not freezing after shooting/tackling/passing etc.

More intelligent thru-balls

Not having the keeper clearing everything when your defender can deal with it.

Better AI for players off the ball making runs, etc

Fair Play award?

Player/manager awards

(Faking) Injured players stretchered off pitch and waiting to come back on and therefore actually having an effect on the team being a man down.

Gotta dash now but will have to try and add some more soon!

That's a nice set of ideas geezer !

I'd personally like to see a lot more little added features such as manager of the year and a lot more statistics.

Player awards such as player of the year, every month a divisional player of the month (and NOT just based on goals scored), a man-of-the-match award on the match stats screen along with more % such as tackling, passing, crossing, dribbling etc etc etc.

I think they should incorporate a lot more detail like in the CM games where you have ratings and lots of stats after each game - and also a seasonal average rating and all these on leaderboards so you can see how your defender compares with all the other defenders in the division (in terms of tackles won, headers won, average rating, passing percentage) surely a complex system like the ps2 can count how many passes each player attempts and how many they actually pull-off - i feel that little additions like those will just make the game even more fantastic!!

at the top-end of the scale i'd like to see a goal of the month award and goal-of-the-season along with the choice to see other teams goals - but this is probably a good few years away in terms of a system to take the capabilities in the first place!

more mental attributes for players such as : adaptability (how well the player adjusts to a new team), determination (does the player become lazy in parts of the game? or does he give it his all for 90 minutes a-la robbie savage), influence (will this player have a positive effect on your team or a detrimental one? would he make a good captain) - coupled with leadership i s'pose - how well he would make a captain. pressure (how well the player handles big games, taking penalties, pressure situations), workrate (sort-of like determination but more important)

more commentary team names (if these teams arent in pes3) but such as betis, middlesbrough, auxerre, porto (surely these aren't owned by the fifa license?? they are just city names)

a choice to make a custom cup - upto 32 teams, any formats u like - also the same for league. i'd like to see home and away legs in the konami cup apart from the final (like the european cup) or at least the ability to make full choices on such options.

visible refs, linesmen. animated managers shouting and waving arms on the sidelines. subs warming up and visible. stewards walking around in orange jackets.

weather changes is important IMO. one minute its raining, next minute it stops. maybe the sun pops out - all effects the pitch and the way it plays.

i like the idea of training in ML actually affecting attributes and the way the team plays as a whole. also an indoor training centre could be a sweet little addition

more training drills in the training menu such as a specific 'volley practice' drill which the clever guys at konami could think up ;)

an option to buy a player u've currently on-loan or a planned transfer for the end of the season (note: the teamwork doesn't go back down to 30 once you've signed him, it stays the same as it ever was while he was on-loan)

snow, and an orange ball! :D

pitch invasions if you win a cup and more animations of players running around celebrating. lap of honour, presentation of trophy.

errr thats all for now :)

How about the chance to transfer (as manager) to another team?

Injuries in training

Ability to update teams without having to make a copy and stick them in that way.

Revamped revenue system to include gates and prize money, etc

Option for ageing players so they eventually retire, etc.

Manager names and the possibility of managers being sacked at other clubs

Multi-player ability on all modes (if it isn't there already)

Online too (then you could download patches too from Konami, etc)

Ability to turn players from one position to another after they play there long enough and train there long enough

More promising players (so some of them can be duds)

A zonal option in multi player. So one player (on the same team obviously) can only select defenders, one mid and one attack. As I have a friend who never bloody defends but has to try and score all the time!

Qualifiers for cup competitions

Lots and lots and lots more unlockables and extras. PES2 doesn't really have that much hidden stuff. Unlockable play modes like Soul Caliber... you have to win by 2 clear goals... no yellow cards, etc

Play-offs (if there aren't any for promotion as I havent faced that)

Pls don't make it easier... more difficulty levels

Skills section (like keepy uppy etc)

Able to select when you want a replay

On scoring free kick replays a speed counter and trail like on TV

Prior to free kicks a 10m circle graphic

Cards for time-wasting and diving (difficult to implement I guess)

Can't think of anything else right now!

Somone's natural style of play could be considered time-wasting so that won't be too good. Getting booked for passing the ball!

SWOS had the greatest ideas.

Can I just check I am posting to the most current PES3 ideas thread? There seems to be a few of these and I don't want my ideas to be ignored cos they are on an old topic...

What about a tournament option for multi players???????
This Round Robin crab i Konami cup sucks - to say the least.
Why can't you just make a tournamet with home & away games as a league for club teams i multi player mode - who hard can it be to include???

Also include a better edit room (especially for club teams). Please let us have full freedom over the players we want to edit/modify, so we may have the most up-to-date rosters all the time! Try modifying AC MILAN in PES2 so it's up to date!! GOOD LUCK.

Getting the licence wouldn't be bad either. I think it's a problem though - since FIFA/EA SPORTS have paid a lot of money to get the full licence they have. They have the best presentation of the teams and shirts though.

Actual damage on the pitch would be great - especially if it's raining. I think it would require too much from the engine to make players dirtier as the game progresses though.

And how about making some of the home fans leave in the crowd before time – if their team is trailing too much?? -Isn't that a feature in This Is Football?

I personally miss the old way to make a 1–2 pass. On PSone you should just hold L1 and press X to make a 1–2 pass. In PES2 I think it's way too difficult a combination of buttons for such a simple - yet very effective - move. It makes the game harder to master though - which we ofcourse - all like about the game.

They should also include an option so you can set the speed of the game. Many think the game is too slow right now - if you had this option - everyone would be satisfied.

And why doesn't your players meet a pass??? Every so often you play a pass - just to see it get intersepted by your oponent because the player you were passing it to, just stands there waiting for the ball to get to him. MEET IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! :D

But i think the most impotant thing would be a full licence for player names, kits, stadiums etc. ...

– sorry for the very looooong post!! –

I can't be bothered to read all the suggestions for PES 3 in this forum so I will just tell you what I want.

Club Licenses - real badges, kits ,staduims
Real stadium names.
Up to date club rosters.
Ability to move players between clubs. i.e. moving ronaldo from inter to real.
proper commentary - not just one or two words strung together to make a sentence which doesn't make sense.
An option to play world cup/european championship qualifying games.
Make the gameplay more about skill rather than pace.
Ability to make your own team, not just edit over an existing one.

PLEASE DON'T INCLUDE WEST HAM OR FIORENTINA!!!! FIORENTINA WENT BUST AND NOW PLAY IN SERIA C2. THEY ARE CALLED FLORENTIA VIOLA.

all this = best football game ever

I doubt Fiorentina will be on pes3 and I reckon Blackburn will be replacing West Ham.

I'd like to see players reacting to other players challenges. so somebody goes in hard and the player gets up and pushes the opposing player, then the oppositions hard-man midfielder jumps in and pushes the player back and a full-scale ruckus breaks out :D

i got a redcard for a bit of a mistimed challenge yesterday it had me in a rage  luckily we didnt miss the player but it wasnt a rash challenge and ive seen much worse from the opposition where they receive no card! ive been clean through on goal and taken down quite harshly and only got a free-kick or penalty for it - no cards

so - no biased refs!^

also would be cool to have real refs like Collina, Poll, Kim Neilsen and they all have their own attributes and stars so they react as their real-life counterparts do

i dont know if any of you have played NFL2K3, quite a good game. but the commentary is so in lmbo with the game and is so fluent that it actually sounds like a conversation. also, the colour commentator says stuff on a replay and makes little circles and comments, would be quite cool to see it here. what about a better post-game analysis rather than highlights with cheesy konami music and peter brackley blabbering about how he did the commentary. credits, a deal with a TV company would be cool, good idea timedwins7. sky dont really do a manual football game, do they? itv have uefa champions league, but sky sports go that extra mile in presentation compared to BBC.

what about in game stat changes for PES3? Wouldn't it be cool if younger, promising players could improve their stats by training/playing in the master league? and older players gradually losing some of their physical abilities? this way the age of a player would be a bigger factor in choosing new players for your ML-team...

...and of course the players' age should go along with the ML-seasons as well, where's the realism in ronaldo being still 25 years old after 10 seasons?

and referees shouldn't be so easy on the red cards! i hardly ever get a yellow one, but when the ref decides to book me it's a 50% chance to get sent off

Hey! Cheezy! I mentioned that earlier! Although as long as the ideas make I don't care about credit too much :) I would like to see longer replays too. I've started great goals from my half only to see the last bits of it. Realise it's a memory card issue like other people have said in terms of saving. But surely that shouldn't matter if you just wanna see it?

i'm not really into taking credit and stuff like that, i just want to play the best possible footie game :)
