Loans and Skill Cards

What happens if you start a specialism training with a player and then loan him out? Does his specialist training continue? Or do you lose your money?

In particular I would like to loan out a young player and, immediately before he goes, begin training him for a skill card. When he comes back he will have both experience from playing and a new card.

Is this possible? And, if it is, would it feel a little like cheating?

Yup, definitely qualifies as cheating. Though I admire the brains behind it. Don't know if it can be done though cos when you boy is loaned out, he's subjected to the other team's coach's training right? =)

Just wondering though: in real life did ol 'arry get Pompey to give Jamie O'Hara "Specialised" training? Cos he's top drawer playing for them now!

Would it really be cheating though? A mean, all it is is saying "Yes, you can have this player, and play him as much or as little as you want, but you have to train him in this way. And here's 1 million pounds to do it."

I really feel that the loan system should be improved to the point where you can insist that your player plays a certain number of games. Also that you should be able to recall him back. You should be able to send a player on loan with a view to selling him to that club, you should be able to submit bids for players that are currently on loan away from their parent club. And that you should be able to loan a player with a view to a permanent deal - something that happens all the time in the real world.

The transfer system has improved drastically this year (it's much more realistic than submitting a bid yourself - you think manager's really make bids themselves? Don't you think that's the chairman's job?) - but it really needs further improvement to get the most from this new improved Master League.
