make heading the ball more successful

hi i am new to this site but have been playing pes for years and am very successful on 6 star. I have found that when attacking or defending players dont move towards the ball to head it. so i found that if you hold the r2 button u can move your selected player towards the ball and beat your opponent to it.

yes , the manual is one way of knowing. But its good advice none the less and it works well if you want to gain possenion after a goal kick

I find that heading the ball on PES5 is very realistic. I find it hard to believe that a lot of people have trouble on this game at heading, you must time it right and hope for the best. The challenges the opposition make in the air is excellent, it makes the game realistic in who is going to win the ball in the air and how play moves on from that moment.

Charming.

Anyway, I have found the heading to be quite hard to PES5. Even free headers tend to go high or wide. I am a PES veteran and I'm aware of the R2 function but I still can't seem to score enough headers. It's a bit annoying as it limits the ways in which I can score.
I have found corners in particularly hopeless. I probably win 1 header in 10 with them even by pushing my player towards the ball. I think this just makes things worse as I'm then usually out of shape and head the ball over.

Would anyone recommend pulling my player away from goal so that I can head the ball down? Will it just mean I lose out to the defender?

ive found that holding r2 WHILST holding away from the goal works very well.also if you wait till the very last second works.
But iagree with u all,it could be improved.
