my m8 always plays this formation, and works pretty well:

GK - Van Der Sar
LB - Evra
CB - Silvestre (he has better defensive qualities than vidic + faster)
CB - Ferdinand
RB - Brown
LM/LWF - Nani/Giggs
CMF/DMF - Scholes
CMF/AMF - JS Park
RM/RWF - C.Ronaldo
SS/CF - Saha/Tevez
CF - Rooney
