Man Utd White Socks?

In past PES games when you select Man Utd for Champions League games they had white shorts and white socks, why did they remove this? This is supposed to be the official game of Manchester United? I can even select up to 4 alternate kits for unlicensed teams!!

I remember PES on the PC- wow, we were spoilt where it came to configuring the kits; boots; stadiums (or 'stadia' if you're posh); balls (oo-er) etc. You could even change the goalkeeper kits prior to kick-off!

I recall changing the shorts colours and socks etc. I think it's pretty cheap of Konami and EA Sports not to allow kit combinations to be changed like that before the match starts...

Isn't the color of shorts dependent on the opposition's kit colors. So, if United normally wear White shorts they will wear black when facing someone who plays in white kits. (In real life, PES does not replicate this).

Yes, it was before PES 2008- it was an application called 'Kitserver', it enabled such configurational changes as I previously mentioned. There was an application that enabled one to change stadia/stadiums prior to each match, I had about 70+... you could even choose from tons of different footballs, too.

... the best days of PES! I'm not sure if those applications came out alongside PES 3 or 4 first, but I had a lot of fun with them!

That was on the PC, you can't do that stuff on the PS4/Xbox One.

I'm talking our home European kit, its default white shorts, white socks, always is in Europe..

I'm not talking about mix and matching kits.

In past PES games when you played with Man Utd in the Champions League / Europa League you got the option of using the white socks option for the home kit, but when you played with them in the Premier League they had the default black socks..

I know it would, but that wasn't what my OP was on about, lol, but there was another preset home kit choice specifically for the Champions League games in PES, so I don't know why they removed it..

So Data Pack 1 had "Champions League specific" kits..

Yet I still don't see Man Utd's white socks "Champions League specific" kit?
