i have "acquired " the game.I will let you no what its like when i give it a go later
theres a few vids going around youtube some have allready been taken down the ones that are up you dont really get to see much of the game just parts of the first level. the game thats floating around the net is ment to be the un-cut version, it's set for release in the u.s sometime in oct. the game has been re submitted with cuts added and will be rated mature instead of adult, over in holland the game has passed fully un-cut.
I haven't actually seen it confirmed that Holland will get the un-cut version. I know the un-cut version is allowed in Holland but I think it is still to be determined if they will release the un-cut version just for Holland. If it does get released un-cut in Holland then that's a bit of a bonus.
It is definitely the parents. I know some owners probably do sell games to under aged kids but where I live I have never been able to buy a game that is higher than my age limit. I couldn't even by a 15 rated game on my 16th birthday but the parents buy them then blame the developers/publishers for what the game has done to the kid, if anything.
Sometimes games are probably not even the source of the problem but when you hear that the kid involved in an accident happen to have a game like Manhunt or Grand Theft Auto, then the companies are immediately blamed. What a fucked up world we live in.
But you also have to remember that the people who work in stores like GAME are often told by their managers that making the sale is all that matters.
From when I worked there, that's bollocks. If anyone actually was told that, then the manager would be in severe trouble and would likely be fired for gross misconduct. The penalties for serving age-restricted games to those under said age-restriction is harsher to both the individual and the company than it is to those who mis-sell alcohol.
It may have been like that at your store.
A friend of mine used to work in Gamestation about 2 years ago and he told me that his manager always used to tell him that he doesn't care who he sells the games to, just as long as they pay the money.
Believe it or not, it does happen.
