sobis doesnt get nearly as good as he did on the old game. id go for aguero if you want a little SS like sobis or for a more all round player who is cheap to buy go for someone like ben sahar, like sobis he never gets that good at heading but his speed, technique and shooting all go red with a couple of other things aswell that i cant remember.

Try Lee Chun Soo. His peak age at 28. Develop very fast. Can play as Winger or Midfielder.
Orellano is great CF too. He is random appeared from new comer. I'm currently developed him. His speed stat is great(96) on age 22.
For defender, try reborn player like Maldini,Stam,Cannavaro,Thuram,etc.
For Goalkeeper, I use Van Der Sar. He is great goalkeeper.

just buy any player with speed/acceleration +95 (odonkor - utaka ...) and a good stamina/balance
speed is what you need in the 2 first years in ML

I don't think so that Top Speed is more important. I think Dribble Speed and Dribble Accuracy is more important. Stamina and Body Balance are important stats too.
