Master league explanation

I've looked thro' the various posts but none seem to answer this.

I have managed to get my team promoted to Division 1 via the play-offs and won the cup. The only players i've signed is J.Aghahowa & Rikjard. The rest are the original team......Castro is awesome for me....but Arsenal have put a bid in for him......half my teams contracts are up for renewal...

My salary was 601-685 depenedant on the team i played. What should i expect for division 1. Looking at all your teams full of stars how long did it take to get to that stage....do i need to win cups etc before i can attract the Henry's .I've got a few cheap signings in, from the growth team (Pilniak) and the Japanese reserves such as Nakarta and Inamoto but can anbody give me any tips.

This is my second attempt......i signed Pele first season but had the game finish on me despite getting promoted.....i'd gone over budget......how do you sign retired players from the classic teams without paying them fee's (there not tied to clubs yet the fee is still asked for)

ok 1st of you proberly want to get really far but i think its waay more injoyable to do it without the classics... so go in to "conditional search" when you are on your second negotion time (where you recive your player the next season) put on the season 0-1 season left since it will come up all the free players which you can buy. Its not just sum shit players theres all types of players like shev up for grabs... you might be lucky enough to get him but either wayy there is always sum1 on for free like him. Have a go and things will be alot easier. Another thing is to get a above average player like giggs, doni, ronaldhino ete etc... since you can can trade um with crapy players from your team like minanda. Helps out alot with the cost.
Now you can end up havin a brilliant team with in the 3rd season but sum may take longer, depending on what you win.
I think you should acctually buy doni cause hes very cheap and he will make a big difference on your team. I think hes like 600 salry points. Brilliant though!!

Did as you suggested and got Shenchenko on a free.....I'll go back for Doni when i've done here.....How much does a decent team take the salary upto? my salary is now only 400 units ( i was epecting this to go up not down from last season)

Another ? for someone to answer.......i am getting to the point where i can beat the cpu on 3* but still struggle on 4* losing by the odd goal or nicking it by the odd flukey goal......but when i play my mate, i struggle.....

Anyway i get the feeling to beat the cpu requires different strategy than beating the comp.....he tends to use one man and run right thro' me.....and keep his defense solid and closes me out before i can shoot. My players get caught out of position and i allow him open spaces....for simple goals

Any tips would be grateful?
