Master League Help!

Hi everyone,

Got PES3 for xmas for my PS2. I had PES2 and played it all the hours I possibly could, to the point where it was no longer a challenge anymore, so what a god send PES3 is.

A couple of things I'd like help with though. I've been reading through the posts on here to try and get the info I need, but I think I'm getting more confused (some threads are very very long!)

1. In the first season in the ML is it possible to buy anyone in that first 'transfer window' I made several offers to players but no one was interested, do I have to persist with the players you are given for the whole first season?

2. I've noticed people talk about being able to negative 10K in debt, Is this true?

3. People have also mentioned swapping players you start with like Kelsen in transfers, how do you do this?

Answers to these questions will be a big help. As awlays my apologies if they have been answered else where!

cheers

Mass Sarr

1) think about it, would a world class player jion a div 2 side? try for good player that would normaly be a sub in your perfect team

2)yes, as long as your back out of debt before the season ens, or is that before the new one starts (?)

3) not sure, but i know you can edit the starting team in the edit section

Thanks for the reply,

1. I did think about it, I went for some Irish guy called Tainor hardly world class is he? and he still wouldn't join, I suppose I need to make him a better contract offer.

2. Thanks

3. I meant as part exchange in a transfer, for example, I want the Leeds reserve goaly, can I offer them Kelsen and 1K as an offer?

4. I assume you always have to pay a fee for players, unlike PES2 where you could get the internationals with no club free?

1. You can make offers for players every time the Negotiations symbol is displayed. You can buy players, but you must make decent contract offers and go for players who, in general, aren't in leagues above you.

3. Yes, you can. When you go to buy a player, choose the "Trade Transfer" option. This then allows you to exchange for a player of your own. Negotiations then continue as normal in the Negotiations sub-menu. Simple once you see it. :D

4. Yes, you have to pay a fee, but you can often get them for a lot less than the price they state.

Thanks!

1. So it appears it's all about the wages I offer them. If they aren't playing for a club it should be possible to get them for a low transfer fee.

3. I shall try an open my eyes when I'm playing! thanks

4. See point 1. Many thanks

Yeah, you need to offer transfer points higher. Were any other clubs after the player you mentioned? They might have signed him...

Do a conditional search for players with 0-1 years left in their contract, most of these players will give you the option of a free transfer, where you have to pay no fee, offer really high wages and you may be able to attract decent players. as the wages are spread out over the season you should be able to afford to pay them them when you start winning games!!!

if you offer wages of around 3000 or up you won't actually end up paying the player these amounts not sure why but computer loweres the wages.

editing the players to make them better is sort of cheating don't you think??

The reason they seem to get paid less is because the annual cost in Division 1 is spread over more games, whereas in Division 2 it's compacted into less fixtures.

yep but if you look for your own players in negotiations it won't show their wages as 3,000 or upawards usually around 1,800?

why is that?

Thanks again for all the replies.

I shall certainly use your tip to look for players to purchase, I'm actually considering restarting my Master League as I appear to have wasted the transfer window.

What's all this about editing players & cheating?

You can edit the default players you start with and make them all superstars. Cheating, basically.

As for the 3,000 - 1,800 points thing, I have no idea. I don't offer my players ridiculous wages like that.
