Does anyone else find it annoying that they took away the ability to alter your team's kit within the ML? I think it was either PES 2010 or 2009 when they took it away. For example, I pick Bolton for my first ML each year. I have an option file so it has the real kit. But I would like to have a seperate kit for ML, without editing the one of the default Bolton team.
Why would you take something like this out of the game? Makes no sense.

I thought you could go into the main menu and then select 'Edit' - Your team (Bolton) - Edit - Kit etc?

I know you can change the names of teams during your ML Season and they will appear with you having to restart? So maybe you can edit thek it there and it will appear in your current ML? Try it out.

Yes, you can go to edit mode and edit the kits, but that also edits the original Bolton team. In previous games, I used to be able to have a seperate kit just for ML, since there was an option within the ML to edit the kit. This was back in the day when you could create your own team, not edit pre existing teams.

Yeah Konami have a habit of removing features that are actually decent unfortunately.

The only real plus side of being able to your ML team in edit mode is that you can alter kits mid-season as opposed to simply at the end of each season as was previously. So for example if I'm playing a team who's strip is multi-coloured and similar in colours to both my home and away, I can go into edit mode and say change my shorts colour as teams do in real life to avoid a clash. This is the only real positive though unfortunately and as you say Ali, it's just silly that Konami have removed it - I can only assume it was the only way to be able to make the ML teams online work.

They could have at least kept it in for offline mode. But you say about them removing it for online's sake. Surely there must be a way, since MANY online games allow you to use customised characters....hell, that's part of the appeal of a lot of them. I mean, as long as you use the options within the game (ie not importing outside images), there shouldn't really be a problem.

With option files, if you have an option file and the other person doesn't, will it appear as default on their side? For example, if I have an OF and pick Bolton, and they don't, will it still appear as Middlebrook for them? Surely the same could be done for online ML, with your edited strip only appearing for you?

If they don't have the OF your team will look like a default to them.

I find it annoying that you cant select the away shorts or socks to go with your home top.

I like to have the kits like in the actual league, if Spurs play Chelsea for example, whoever is away wears dark socks. It's a pain having to quit, edit and reload everytime there is a clash.

This is also why I prefer using unlicensed sides. Try using the licensed Spurs away to City. You have to use City's away kit or risk passing to the wrong guys constantly.
