Muntari = best defensive midfielder in the game. After 1 season of development he is awesome. He can do everything including take free kicks and score them almost all teh time. He has the best growth curve in the game aswel. Jaoquin, Wright phillips, Adu (amo), CESC FABREGAS, Martins, Cisse, Van Der Vaart all very good attacking young players. They all have good growth curves. Defenders the best are Pique, Huth, Alex, Hegtinga (spelling??) and Kompany.

Lewis, Vomme, Nadal (is okay after 2 seasons), Dagaka, Djorkaeff once he retires and is reborn, Ometan (the Patrick Vieira of my side, only better), Cesc (Fabregas), Chapi.

I wouldn't bother with Wayne Rooney as he stops improving at 21! Get Ronaldo, his curve sees him improve until about 39, and he's already class (obviously)

i've only bought c. ronaldo, routledge (okay buy, he takes three games tpo get a few points up) and milner (two games a point up). im gonna but defoe, reyes, jenas, lewis, fabregas, huth and glen johnson. maybe ambrose, not sure. does anyone reckon i should get a different bunch of people?

Heirunfinga (cbt) i think he is dutch
Berthod (sb) i play him LB he's fast and not bad at defending hes also a lefty.
Maltilez (sb) he's Argentinian i play him RB he's pretty good.
Heinze (sb) I just bought but buy him early as possible.
Cesc he is class buy him.
Cardarson is f'ing great defo bargain.
Ben Arfa (lwf) I play im left wing he seems a it weary but play him and before the first season he plays pretty good.
Muntari (rmf) I've not bought him but his stats looked pretty good and he was still young he plays for Udinese.
Vaz Te (cf) it takes him half a season te start playing reasonable well but fr some reason his accuracy is better than stats say they are.
Rooney (cf) ofcourse

A few others like...

Gilardino, Cassano, C.Ronaldo, F.Torres, Farfan, Kaka

Buy them early i bought C.Ronaldo 3 seasons in and he has stoppped progressing

Though i'm still after a good goalkeeper.

I don't like using reborn old greats i feel like i'm cheating, my opinion though.

Take the advice from what the other guy says narrow the search 15 - 18/19 yrs old.

i found f. torres to b a bad purchase & exchanged him for a better centre forward, farfan, rooney and saviola are my front 3, work well together and score plenty of goals

There is a small bit of help if you have someone like Rooney or C.Ronaldo they do stop developing a wee bit earlier on the off-season goto Team Training you can take shots, passing, crossing training and you do that a few times some specific stats go up. Even if 4 of our stats o up 1 or 2 each it can really help this works wih all players despite there age it's pretty cool.

Development Curves

Where do you find these development curves? How do you read them?

All you have to do is basically see a player make sure there young 16-19 (are the best) If they have a few 80's or alot of 70's they're a good chance of developing into good players just keep on playing them in there best suited positions and you'll get best results.

i have a perfect one
GK - Lewis - 16 years old
CF - Baumjohann - 17 years old
CF - Guiseppe Rossi - 17 years old
MF - Milner - 17 years old
DF - Pique - 17 years old
CF - Adu - 16/17 years old

just search for 16-18 years old in Advanced Searck on ML

This sounds like a cracking team. Thanks Hunter!

If I wasn't so poor i would almost certainly donate some points!

i tried drost for a season and he was crap, 1 and a half seasons and his stats were still useless

get clichy instead he is pretty good
roberto carlos and riise are both great and still get better.

im using rooney for the first time and im hoping he gets alot better

vomme(van den borre) is the best in the game
92 attack
99 defence
99 balance
98 dribble acc
98 s pass acc
99 l pass acc
95 sht acc
90 power
94 sht tec
92 fk acc
92 curle
99 tec
99 heading
98 team work

thats 19 years old and he gets better until hes 25 i think.

fabregas is almost as good to
r.smith from arsenal takes a season or 2 but he turns into a world class player
bring him on as a sub as a cf or as a rmf and he'll improve alot.

dagaka is also worth buying coz he goes up really fast.

martin cranie gets good too, not as good as vomme but better than terry,
glen johnson is also really good.

muntari is a leftie but probably the best dm u can get.

just remembered
buy kieron dyer in the first season
he flies past defenders for fun and scores alot of goals.
hes better than joaquin, ljungberg, pires, reyes, ronaldo, giggs, robben
well, any one else you can think of
even nedved

What I'm about to say may be stupid because it won't work or because it has already been said "I heard people are having problems finding certain young players (maybe i'm wrong) in the Master League because the team that player is on is not part of your league so he is unavailable for selection. Without removing these players from their crap teams, just make them part of their national team and I think you might be able to get them." I have had the game for two days so pardon my ignorance.

Don't worry about it. Rooney turns out to be a class striker in PES4 and WE8.

These are his stats at age 22 (after he stops developing in the matches):

Attack 93
Defence 65
Stamina 90
Top Speed 85
Acceleration 90
Dribble Acc. 95
Dribble Sp. 93
Short Pass Acc. 93
Short Pass Sp. 90
Long Pass Acc. 92
Long Pass Sp. 89
Shot Acc. 95
Power 92
Shot Technique 99
Header 94
Jump 74
Technique 92
Team Work 90

That's the gist of his stats.
thanx mate, what about his balance (very important)
its wierd that hes not as good as vomme though can any 1 tell me if cisse gets dribbling that is better than 80 coz it holds him back from being probably the best player in the game.

Whoever mentioned it before is 100% correct - Cardozo from Boca Juniors becomes absolutely amazing!

Nobody mentioned Rachmane Barry though! I think he comes from Marseille - he is 18 and by the time he is 20 he is easily as good as Ronaldo.

- Oh and who could forget Lewis!!!!
