Max Media Player

Someone said to me awhile ago when I was wanting to know about patching ect someone said that if you buy this: http://play.com/play247.asp?searchtype=allproducts&searchstring=Max+Media&page=search&Go.x=0&Go.y=0
then you could play patched games/dvds ect on your PS2. I don't really want to get the Slide Card because it seems to difficult and hard to understand but can someone tell me if this Max Media Player will be alright to use?

No it won't be, as it only plays CD-R's. Also nobody has it because it's useless IMO.

It's fair to be worried. Here are 3 questions:

Which PS2 have you got ? Silver ? Slimline ? Original ?

How long have you had it ?

How badly do you want to play patched games ?

I have the Silver PS2
I have had it about 4 months, i'm not really sure
I only am really wanting it for PES4 and I really want to be able to have the details on the game as perfect as I can get them.

Then get a damn Slidecard , here is a video of how the kid Ashmufc done his one.

It's a silver PS2 also, Right Click & Save Target As.

that video was done with a slide card and Memory card exploit. i suggest you buy the slide card and swap magics

Oh cool, thanks. I just viewed the video and I wasent sure what he was doing when he was putting something in the space where the drawer is. God i'm worried about it and I ask so many questions lol, I just am worried when I get it that I wont be able to fix it on ect. :/

the slide card and swap magic combined is very simple actually. its not as complicated as the video. heres a brief descriiption:

load swap magic
swap game
press :X:
enjoy!

its as simple as that.

In the video ashmufc used a plastic ruler to wedge out the eject lid , easy as pie I tell you .

siince you have a silver PS2, taking off the front mask will be easier than snapping your finger. the silver PS2 doesn't have the little screw like other PS2.
