A pretty good review , never really go into MGS on ps2, but always liked the games.

A 9.9 from IGN-UK?! :eek:hmy:

Along with IGN-Oz they never seem to buy the hype and their scores are usually lower than the Yanks, so the fact they've give it this good of a score is proof enough that I need a PS3 now.

Wait...
I'm going to have to convince my brother to buy a PS3. I'm a huge fan of the series and this latest installment looks to be the best yet.

Ok this video is a cut scene from the game so it's a bit of a spoiler although not much to be honest. No idea what the end credits are all about though.

Is it true that there is atleast one 90 minute cut scene? I'm not being funny but that has to be a michael take. I hear you can pause them but surely you can pick up the story in a 10 minute max scene rather than a 90 minute scene where I guess most of it will be garbage.

I hope this isn't overly true because for me a game is to be played not to be watc hed like a film. Fuckers.

Well according to reports, Konami are asking/demanding the early reviewers don't mention the length of cut-scenes.

Make of it what you will. :coffee:

Well I'm sure they are going to have some lengthy cut scenes but one of 90 minutes? I just can't see it happening.

There is a cut scene an hour long, but if you had played MGS2 and MGS3 while watching all the cut-scenes, then this news shouldn't bother you at all.

Oh and, cut scenes ARE skippable.

We've already seen some of the product placement to be found in the soon-to-be-released Metal Gear Solid 4, and it looks like PlayStation 3 users are in store for a bit of reinforcement about their console buying decision as well. At one point during the game, Metal Gear Solid's Otacon takes a not-so-subtle dig at the Xbox 360's non-HD disc format by asking you to swap disc 1 for disc 2, only to suddenly realize that you're using a Blu-ray disc, and a dual-layer one at that, which then prompts him to go on about "what an age we live in." At least there's no HD DVD reference to further rub it in, though we wouldn't doubt that there's one of those lurking somewhere in the game as well.
