There are many different ways to play WE7i or infact a backup of any CD-R & DVD Based games.

Should also mention something about the flip top (well most swap disk methods) limitation on the cdr and dvdr image sizes, as certain versions of the game won't boot up. I'm not sure if this is the case with the knife swap/slide card I'll investigate when I get back in the country.

Bootdisks.
Swap Magic2 can be used in co-ordination with the slide card, flip top lid and PS2 R-KEY. You just put in the bootdisk and wait for it to load. When it says: Insert Disk, you either slide, flip open or eject the cd tray and put in your copy of WE7 and pressX.

Action Replay V2.

- Switch on your PS2 by holding the Reset button for about 3 to 4 seconds.
Your PS2 is starting.
- Insert the CD1 included with your Action Replay 2 (PAL) or
Game Shark 2 (US)
- Select 'START'
- A menu appear on your screen.
Select 'WITHOUT CODES'
- The following message pop up on your screen:
'INSERT THE GAME CD'
'Press 'X' to continue or 'O' for cancel'
- Press the 'EJECT' button on your Ps2.
Replace the CD1 of your AR2/GS2 with an import or a backup.
- Press 'EJECT'again for closing the tray with the CD in it.
- Once you have done this, press the 'X' button (you must do this
quickly).
- The game will start after few seconds.
If your PS2 Drive makes a clicking noise, you will have to copy your
games on better quality cds!

Where EJECT is in block capitals, you either flip or slide depending on method or modchip.

yo jag87 slidecard sounds like the best method to play import or cd-r games.

but i'm gonna wait until they just come up with a superb boot disk that doesn't need a slide-card or any other malarkee!!!!!!!

one that you don't need to take out your eject lid

i have had it since june 10th. I tried a DVD backup of Pro Evo 2 today with the swap magiv dvd boot disk and it worked like the original.

I don't know as I never wanted to try that method. I guess it might. Using metal inside an electrical appliance is always a BAD idea so try not to use metal items.
