All the people say that the Messiah2 Pro ModChip is the best one,
but why is he better than the Magic 3.6?
I think they all have the same features.
Which is easier to insert?

i am unsure. i think that they both need to be soldered so they are both quite hard to install.

Can you use the dvd region x disc as a bootdisc with the slide card? would like to know whether i need to pay the extra for the Swap magic discs.

urm yeah you should be able to. i have read that you can. Give it a try. Its not as powerful as the swap magic discs though.

The 2 chips are very close in terms of fuctionality, the messiah 2 pro takes it on Internal operations and compatibility/reliability kind of issues.

Magic 3.6 is far far easier to install due to the low profile design (I think that's what they called it) there are only like 7-9 wires that need soldering in comparison to the Messiah 2 pro's 24 wires.

does anyone have the magic 3.6? Becasue when my Ps2 warranty expires in 11 months, i may chip it. I use the slide card but a modchip is a better solution to play backups.

Which chip you would recommend to me? All i want is to play all my backups. I don't want to waste my money or to damage my PS 2.

a slide card doesnt require the ps2 to be internally modified and is pretty safe. I would say that the messiah has had better reviews.

Yeah if all you need it for is backups I agree the Slide card is cheap and very cheerful, flip top aswell. But if you can't be bothered with the whole swapping and have some cash to burn then I'd say the messiah is your best choice, but if the installation costs are too high you might fancy the magic 3.6 which should get installed for a much lower price (if not something is wrong).
