Methods to play patched PES & imported WE games on your PS2

Hi Guys

I'm a newbie to all this but I've read most of the info you guys have got up here and I have a question:

on the site above (www.memtechsolutionsltd.co.uk) the Swap method thingy suggests that it will only work with DVD-Rs. My DVD burner only does +Rs does that mean that buying the swap wotsit will be a waste of money ? Do they all rely on -R ?

i've tried memtech many times but they never reply to any order ive made with them so i have given up! i just want to play a patched we 8 le - can anyone recommend who else i can get a swap magic/sloder set from-they seem to be hard to come by- am i too late - thanks!!

Well my ps2 plays dvd+r back ups. But mine's not a v7. Just test it mate and see if it works

So, swap magic has a limit on the size of the image so i guess the newest jonboyo patch is no good for that?
Is there any way to get round this?

I think Swap Magic only has limit on the CD version but not the DVD version.

ok, i have got the jonboyo patch on a 700mb cd-r and i use the cd version of swap magic, but it dont work, so what can i do???

Sorry to tell you but I'm not quite familiar with playing patched CD-R games. My best suggestion to you is to use CD loader. CD Loader lets you play patched games that swap magic can't.

You can find CD Loader quite easy. Just make sure you burn the CD Loader image with a high TOC.

Ok tis no good, i use swap magic v 3.0 cd to boot up cd loader then i put my backup cd-r of PES4 in when prompted and press x, but just get a red background and a pink border
I need help, i really want this to work
What i am really needing is someone who has got a cd-r patched version of PES4 to work to help me

Maybe you didnt burn it at a slow enough speed.

Hmmmm, i burned both the cd loader and backup at 2x using 'Ashampoo'...

2x speed should work fine, so it wouldnt be that.

Did you burn it as an image or as data?
Use Alcohol120% or Nero and burn as an image.

ok the problem is that I patched this game; all okay, I tested it and was able to play it, yesterday.. today; i wanted to play again; and oh surprise, after the logo intros I only got a black screen? why? yesterday minutes after I played it it worked just fine? is there a problem???

Try it again.
The game not loading one time isn't a big deal.

Maybe you scratched the disk? What speed did you burn it at? I'm not psychic.

I got my PS2 literally on launch day and have kept it ever since. I was wondering if the old ones are still capable of playing these patched DVDs if I burn them very slowly?
